Grace is sick and tired of dealing with Liam and Isa’s business. Besides she’s got bigger problems. She and Jude have finally found peace, but she’s keeping a big secret and he’s being sent out on a mission with no telling when he’ll back. When Grace finds out that Jude and a few of the other guardians are under the influence of an evil wizard, she has to decide if she’s going to tell him about her own wizardness.

With Jude dead, there’s another opening on the council of guardians and they want Liam to round out the twelve. But Liam still isn’t convinced that the guardians have Isa’s best interest at heart and not only that, Isa doesn’t want him as a guardian and he doesn’t want to do anything that would anger her. In the end Pierre convinces him that Isa’s very life is on the line if he doesn’t join.

Ruby is tired of waiting. Now that she and Damon made up, it’s more important than ever that she get rid of her dragon form before Damon manages to secure one. The sealing would connect her to the dragon world forever, and she needs a clean break. Sid has decided to go after the queen and worry about the babies afterward, so Ruby goes on her own.

Damon is an idiot. He never should’ve gone home and gotten trapped by his mother. If he hadn’t, he’d be with Ruby and she never would’ve gotten caught. Now, Sid is sending a team after her and Damon isn’t about to be left behind.

She tries to force Drew into the role, but behind the scenes, they refuse to listen to him. Liam needs to leave to hunt down the wizard, but there is no way he’s leaving Isa in the hands of the enemy. He mutinies and brings Drew and a few others with him.

Liam and Grace head to Scotland to find and do away with the wizard that’s controlling the guardians and trying to kill Isa. Once they arrive in the village, they discover finding him may be harder than they thought, as the villagers are less than cooperative. In the end they find him, but discover they’ve left Isa in even more danger…
