Tales of the Left Hand

In the tropical island region known as the Frees, magic is growing stronger and gunpowder is becoming less reliable. Amid this world of swashbuckling, intrigue, and a dash of magic, two adventurers literally run into each other and are forced to fight together against pirates, sinister assassins, and powerful merchant families, in the process developing a most unlikely friendship. 

The swashbuckling, intrigue, and dash of magic continue in Book Two of Tales of the Left Hand, as the Duke of Kohaya gives Tesca and Kayrla a new mission: Escort the enigmatic Captain Grivus on his expedition to find the haven (and treasure) of the notorious pirate Praeditorus Rex. Kayrla is thrilled at the prospect of going to sea once more, but unbeknownst to her, the Duke has given Tesca another mission of greater priority, one that may propel the Quad into war if it is revealed. 

Following the events of book two, the Cutlass limps into the port of Mypor, and in desperate need of repair. Kayrla, wracked with grief, must now attempt to complete the mission left to her. Taking up the title of Left Hand, she must lead her company out of Mypor, to the Abbey of St. Ravino and its legendary Preservatorium - a library dedicated to collecting all the world’s knowledge. There, Captain Grivus seeks fresh clues into the mysteries surrounding the legendary pirate, Praeditorus Rex.
