Strange Britain

Since the release of Strange Sheffield Adrian Finney found himself as the host of the Strange Sheffield Ghost Tours under his Strange Britain brand. In this role he quickly found himself deluged with stories sent to him from the people of Sheffield and he began researching. Those stories are what are at the core of Stranger Sheffield.

Sheffield is a strange city. Throughout it's long history there have been countless tales of the weird and the wonderful within its boundaries. Strange Sheffield features a selection of Ghost Stories, some well known but of them less so, from across Sheffield's history.

Strange Manchester features a selection of ghost stories from across the whole of Greater Manchester. There phantom nightclub owners, cursed skulls, and a ghost that somehow found itself in Manchester despite having died in Chester. There's also a haunted police station and tales of ghost trains and buses too. There's even a mummy!

Nottingham has a rich and dark history that dates back well over 1,000 years and throughout this long history it has played the host to countless ghostly figures. Some ghosts date back to the cities very early days, and have been continually reported ever since, whereas other specters are recent additions to the county.

From the spectre of Queen Victoria, to Mary Queen of Scots’s picky ghost, and from Henry VIII and the restless phantoms of his many wives, to Oliver Cromwell, who claimed to have conversed with the ghosts of Kings long gone, we are going to be exploring the haunted history of the Royal Family.

The Penistone Line is a railway line in South Yorkshire, England. It runs from Sheffield to Huddersfield, via Penistone and Barnsley, and has a history that goes back almost two centuries. In that time, it has picked up more than its fair share of ghost stories, perhaps due to the fact that its early history was marked by a number of accidents and disasters leading one Victorian reporter to call the line "The Graveyard of the Railways".
