Taut and suspenseful, these thrillers follow Doc Ford, ex-CIA agent, as he confronts shady land developers, treasure hunters on sunken ships, and Latino gangs in his little corner of Florida; takes on organized crime and corruption in Central America or Cuba; gets caught up in webs of murder and revenge; and acts as an assassin for the feds. Complex characters and an extraordinary sense of place add to the appeal of each tale of intrigue and danger.

George Guidall is a masterful storyteller who gives this spy his due. The celebrated, multiple Audie Award-winning performer is an ideal fit for Doc Ford. With his dry tone and excellent timing, Guidall sounds like a most welcome house guest sharing his fascinating life stories. Installments in the series are just as expertly narrated by Dick Hill and Ron McLarty.
