Crabtree School

Ava Alexandra Hughes is seven years, four months and 15 days old. She's looking forward to her first day of year three at Crabtree School for Girls. But there is a serious problem: Crabtree School is just too good. It's such a good place that the a class from last year refuse to leave. Now those pesky 11-year-olds are clogging up the whole school, and Ava is going to be stuck in year two forever and ever. Ava and her friends must come up with a plan to get the year sixes out for good.

Zoe and Ava have been best friends for ever. So have Lottie and Isabel. All four of them together make the perfect group. Zoe thinks life is just as it's meant to be - until an extra chair appears in the year three classroom. Now Ava is having playdates with the new girl. And Isabel is making friendship bracelets for someone other than Lottie. Suddenly everything feels wrong. Are the best friends forever going to become best friends for never?

Isabel has always been the most well-behaved girl at Crabtree School, and she's definitely done the most to help the school with the recycling Green Planet Award. But when another girl is given the prize, Isabel suddenly isn't sure that being good is the best thing any more. Maybe she should be a little bit naughty for once! And being naughty is fun - until she does something really bad.

Lottie is the greatest spy at Crabtree School. If anyone wants to know anything, Lottie will know the answer. But when the school cat, Lady Lovelypaws, goes missing, Lottie is totally clueless. There's no trace! Will she be able to solve the greatest mystery Crabtree School has ever seen?
