Conquerors of K'Tara

The Alis Domini, a long-forgotten beast of dread, returns to K'Tara to terrorize and destroy. The enemy's lieutenant operates from the shadows, directing all its creatures to ruin and unravel the planet's peoples and societies. Sensing and non-sensing humanoids struggle to understand what is happening and fear the end of their race is near.

Alvinoria - K’Tara’s most powerful kingdom - begins to unravel. The enemy continues to hide behind its K’Taran agents, striking across the land and infiltrating religious, political, and military institutions to weaken the kingdom from within. The Black Guard’s early victory against the gnarlers provides some encouragement but this is tempered by the discovery that the creatures may not be what they seemed to be. Meanwhile, Prince Toras must find new ways to train his men against the Serpent, which is sure to strike again soon.

Darkness Gains will see the Serpent, working with Noctiferus’s other creatures, deal crippling blows to the Alvinorians: in the air, on the ground, and in the Bind. Toras puts new methods to the test; High Prince Aithen begins to feel the crushing weight of the war on his shoulders; Elyana Lux Baiula forces the hand of a traitor; The Umbra crosses the sea to seek allies in support of Zebula’s invasion of Alvinoria; The Locari convene the Mind to discuss their involvement in the affairs of the Humans.
