The government has accelerated their super soldier program. Their new Virtual Reality system is the perfect tool to train soldiers for the coming war. There is a shortage of enlisted men and women that possess the "talent". Everyone from athletes to professional gamers must be sorted and vetted. Humanity is on the line. Lucius is one of those lucky few selected to participate in Codename: Freedom, a new game that promises to push Virtual Reality to the ultimate level.

After surviving the onslaught of week one, Lucius has something to prove. He seeks to train under a living legend in hopes of being ready for the goblin siege. He isn’t the only one looking to train. As his competition grows in strength, he must push himself harder than ever before. Then, he unexpected happens. Players start to unlock abilities. There is only one thing to do when facing impossible odds - train harder!

After dealing with the Goblin King, Lucius is unsure how to harness his unlocked power. He finds himself in a desperate race to the top as everyone scrambles to master their strange new abilities. The other players are the least of his worries. War is coming. The trials of Freedom have only just begun.

After surviving the trials of Freedom, Lucius enters the next stage of the military's super soldier creation scheme. Medieval weaponry and gritty fantasy combat are a thing of the past. He must bring what he's learned to the modern battlefield. Fighting futuristic tech isn't his only challenge. He'll go head-to-head against Genesis participants—enlisted military personnel who unlocked their psionics a year before Freedom began. Will his emerging psionic abilities and hard-earned experience be enough?
