In the 2030s, the era of Putin and Xi ended, not with a bang, but in a poisoned whisper. In their place, new leaders emerged—charismatic, technocratic, and unflinchingly bold. As Russia and China purged their past, crushing the oligarchy, an alliance for future control emerged. Rare earth minerals had become the currency of the 21st century—whoever controlled them would dominate the future. From energy to data centers, microchips to autonomous weapons, all the world powers raced to see who would come out on top.

In the spring of 2033, NATO launched EuroDefender-33—a massive show-of-force meant to reassure its eastern members. Leading the charge, the 70th Armor Regiment of the 1st Armored Division deployed to reinforce the Suwalki Gap. Across the border, the Russian 1st Guard’s tank army and China’s elite 81st Group Army flexed their muscles as the Eurasian Defense & Economic Pact conducted the largest European military exercise since the 1980s.

April 30, 2033—the day World War III erupted in the open. Across Europe and Asia, the fragile illusion of restraint shattered as missiles, drones, and armor surged forward in coordinated fury. In Eastern Europe, EDEP armored formations thundered across Poland like a steel storm. Their objective was clear: the Vistula River. If it fell, so would the heart of NATO’s eastern defenses. Tank battles, manned and robotic, raged across shattered towns and muddy fields as outnumbered defenders fought to slow an enemy built for mass, speed, and annihilation.
