A Millie Miller Mystery

Millie Miller has always dreamed of living by the ocean. Now that her children have flown the coop, as an empty nester, she’s decided to sell her house to buy a condo only a mile from the beach in Oceanside, California. While walking her two dogs, Rosie and Daisy, Millie stumbles into a mystery after her pups find a body in the bushes. Frightened by the possibility that one of her new neighbors might be a murderer, Millie ignores the handsome police detective’s advice to mind her own business and decides to do some well-needed snooping.

Millie was excited that her dogs, Rosie and Daisy had been invited to a birthday party for a little wire-haired terrier named, Jillie. This was Millie’s chance to get to know the neighbors within her community. They’d been avoiding her ever since the body-in-the-bushes incident. It was as if the community believed she brought chaos to the complex, which Millie felt was ridiculous. She was anxious to prove them wrong. Trouble and mayhem did not follow her around, or did it?

Millie Miller couldn't imagine life being more stressful than having to put herself and her dogs on a diet until she and Jess discover a body in the sauna at the gym. She couldn’t believe there was another murder in the short amount of time she’d been living in her condo. Again, Millie wondered if her condominium complex, Mermaid Cove, should be renamed Murder Cove. Not long after finding the body in the sauna, Jess announced that her mother was going to come out for a visit. Jess’s mother wasn't the easiest person to get along with, and Millie was dreading it.
