Beelzebub's Tales to His Grandson is Gurdjieff's world-famous cosmological epic. It examines human life on Earth from the viewpoint of beings belonging to a distant world, led by the all-wise Beelzebub. Through this cosmological allegory—rich in humour, anecdote, and linguistic elaboration—Gurdjieff demonstrates a methodology for the spiritual growth of all mankind.

During the mid-30s in Paris, Gurdjieff drew together four women: Solita Solano, Kathryn Hulme, Alice Rohrer, and Elizabeth Gordon - and formed a special, mutually supporting work group. In allegory he explained: You are going on a journey under my guidance, an “inner-world journey” like a high mountain climb where you must be roped together for safety, where each must think of the others on the rope, all for one and one for all. You must, in short, help each other “as hand washes hand”, each contributing to the company according to her lights, according to her means.

Kathryn Hulme's life was radically changed and enriched by the influence of Gurdjieff. Undiscovered Country is a tribute to him and his teachings, a vivid personal memoir of her experience as his student, and of the burning spiritual intensity that dominated her life as a result of his influence.

This is the third volume in the All and Everything series, consisting of four books. These audiobooks are written according to entirely new principles of logical reasoning and strictly directed toward the solution of the following three cardinal problems. The third volume deals with the assistance of the arising, in the mentation, and in the feelings of the listener, of a veritable, non-fantastic representation not of that illusory world which they now perceive, but of the world existing in reality.

These lectures were intended by Ouspensky as introductory material for people interested in the work in England. This material is still unmatched as a brief statement of the work's psychological ideas. Designed to be read aloud at weekly meetings of small groups of people interested in the work, they are almost a basic primer of Gurdjieff's psychological ideas on consciousness and spiritual development.

Meetings with Remarkable Men is Gurdjieff's autobiography that tells of his adventures and travels to achieve enlightenment and inner growth. Beginning with his childhood, each chapter is dedicated to one of the remarkable men or women who accompanied him on his journeys to search for hidden knowledge. Among them is his father, a Russian prince dedicated to the search for Truth, a Christian missionary who entered a World Brotherhood deep in Asia, and a woman who escaped slavery to become a trusted member of Gurdjieff's group of fellow seekers.

P. D. Ouspensky was born in Moscow in 1878. His first book, The Fourth Dimension (1909), offered a contribution to mathematical theory; it was Tertium Organum (1912) and A Model of the Universe (written 1914) which revealed his stature as a thinker and his deep preoccupation with the problems of man’s existence. Ouspensky’s search for truth brought him in 1915 to his meeting in Moscow with George Ivanovitch Gurdjieff who revealed to him a system of knowledge which Ouspensky recognised as a vital need for mankind at the present time.

Gurdjieff refers to it as the first of his writings intended to head the list of his publications. He describes the activities of his organization, "The Institute for Man's Harmonious Development", and gives an outline of his other writings, like "All and Everything", consisting of 10 books in three series.

"My ballet is not a mystery," replied Mr. G. "The purpose of it is to present an interesting and beautiful spectacle. Of course, under the visible forms a certain sense is hidden, but I did not aim at demonstrating or emphasizing it. The chief position in this ballet is occupied by certain dances. I will explain this to you shortly".
