With the demise of the Gangi Dynasty, galactic politics are fracturing. The Emperor is restructuring his efforts to unite the people around his singular rule while the opposition looks for alternative options. Caught between time, a lack of supplies, badly trained troops, and numerous foes, Grand Admiral Aatroxiss is pressed to his limits to free Naugh and bring back some semblance of order to the Frontier.

When his old Spymaster reappears to help Aatroxiss in his struggles against the Frontier invasions and, ultimately, against the Empire itself, information becomes the most important factor as the number of alien invasions backed by Imperial warships increases dramatically. With too few ships to adequately defend every star system, it's a matter of coming to the rescue too late and hoping to catch and destroy the invading fleets before they can attack again.

The Jaegers are pushing deep into Star Force territory on an exploratory mission, bypassing the V'kit'no'sat Grand Border. The only question is, how far will they get before the might of the Empire whittles down their planet-sized Baseship to the point where they can destroy it.

Over 100,000 years have passed with Star Force growing into a dominant position as rulers of the Rimward half of the galaxy, but lurking in the shadows are threats of old waiting for the right time to strike.

As the war to conquer Star Force progresses, the fighting shifts away from the Uriti and space battles to the ground...where planets are won or lost based on the supersized warfare of mechs vs. dinosaurs.

Mak'to'ran's message has been sent. Now, he waits to see if his Era'tran race will have a future or be consigned to darker days ahead.
