Climate change is here and Joelle, a 25-year-old Harvard grad, is working 70 hours a week on a television show that is getting canceled. What's worse? She's never found love, or even, dependable casual sex. Her job is toxic. Her college comedy magazine is toxic. The smog in Los Angeles is, well, toxic. Joelle is resigned to dying in an earthquake, but then, she meets a strange boy on a dating app -- and suddenly, she is questioning everything.
