I want him, but I can’t mate him. I’m only attempting to do the right thing. He’s an omega in danger, and I have the means to get him to safety. I’m not planning to keep him. If he understands the danger he’s in and still wants to leave, I’ll let him. And if he finds another dragon to love, I’ll step aside. After all, I’m not worthy of an omega. Not like this. Not while I’m...broken.

Or offer to help me find a cure for my Mama’s illness. And most of all, I never expected that I’d fall for him.

I’ve been hurt before, but Shayne makes me want to try again. I haven’t been lucky in romance, and for the past 12 years, my daughter Charlotte has been my number one priority. But my senses go crazy every time I’m around Shayne, and my inner wolf is convinced he’s my fated mate. He fits right into my family, but he doesn’t know a thing about shifters, and I don’t want to scare him away before I find a way to convince him to stay in town.
