With the crisis in Hataka Village behind them, Ivy and her friends set out for new adventures. Along the way, they creep through the caves where the forest monsters dwell, only to find the monsters who attacked her before are now friendly! Not only that, she's entrusted with a forest monster baby. Bewildered at this turn of events, Ivy arrives in an unusual village full of tension between the church and the villagers.

In Ivy's world, stars are everything. She's a Tamer, born to subdue monsters and animals, but she was also born starless! With her life in danger, Ivy flees into the forest where she befriends a weak little slime named Sora--the one creature she can tame. Thankfully, she can send faxes to her friends to get the fantasy 411 on the care and keeping of a brand-new friend! And as the bitter, cold winter turns to a warm, welcoming spring, Ivy sets their eyes on new horizons and new places. Now, where will their adventures take them next?
