Flaw Enforcement, my journey from cop to artist. In the spring of 2019, my life was moving along just fine, status quo. My kids were growing, my bills were paid, and my marriage was skipping along. My life and career to this point was filled with ups and downs, comfort and pain, but all very normal, at least to me. One early morning in June changed everything, turning my life upside down and shaking it like a child playing with a snow globe. I began to question my career, my faith, desires, and my views and opinions of the world and its inhabitants.

Explorer Probe VI, a spacecraft launched by NASA in 1972, was designed to investigate the outer bodies of Neptune and the lesser dwarf Pluto. The probe was the flagship of the Explorer series. It was programmed with the latest artificial intelligence enabling it to survive on its voyage for many years in distant, cold interstellar space. This artificial intelligence was endowed with a capacity for being almost self-aware.

The Flying Life is the life story of our father, Stefan Cavallo, a test pilot at Langley Field during World War II, who passed away peacefully on September 25, 2022, at 101. While attending the School of Aeronautical Engineering at New York University, he also took flying lessons at Teterboro Airfield in New Jersey through a government-sponsored program and graduated with a combination aeronautical engineering degree and pilot’s license in April 1942, just five months after Pearl Harbor.

This work of art is a dedication of what I have gone through in life, from my military experience to returning to civilian life and restoring a normal life. Even though you have your brothers and sisters in green, they don't replace what you have at home. The experiences are a total shock no matter how many times you are deployed and think that you are used to it. PTSD is an aftereffect, and a lot of people, including family, is affected unknowingly. Only time, perseverance, and the undaunted care, affection, and understanding of your loved ones and friends can help in the situation at hand.
