A lone man sat at a table by a window in the Dickens Room of the Tip Top Inn, Chicago. He had finished his dinner and was apparently waiting for his black coffee to be served. Two men entered and were shown to a table nearby. Presently one of them glanced at the man by the window. "See that man over there?" he whispered to his companion. "Yes," said the latter, looking disinterestedly in the direction indicated. "Well, that is Obvious Adams."

Throughout the ages there have been illumined souls who possessed extraordinary powers of the mind and spirit. These great teachers possessed universal wisdom which they carefully guarded, revealing it only to the few neophytes who were ready for these great mystical and spiritual revelations. In this study we shall walk together, teacher and student, down the golden path of history, gleaning the priceless secrets of the ages and applying them to your own daily life for achieving the health, wealth, and happiness which is every person's secret dream.

Man has only one mind, but he has two distinct phases or functions of the one mind. Each phase is characterized by its own phenomena, which is peculiar to itself. Each of these minds is capable of independent action as well as synchronous action. We call one the objective mind because it deals with external things, and the other is the subjective mind. The subjective mind is amenable and controlled by suggestion of the objective or conscious mind.

The time has arrived when the Great Wisdom, held and guarded for many centuries in the Far East, is now to come forth in America, at the command of those Great Ascended Masters, who direct and protect the evolution of mankind upon this earth. All, who listen to this audiobook honestly, deeply, sincerely, and persistently will know and make contact with the reality of that presence and power.

This audiobook is devoted only to the first named, and we will not attempt to describe the others at this time, although we will have something to say upon all of these great branches of Yoga, in future writings.

One can give himself self-suggestion easily and quickly. It takes little training and almost no physical exertion. Once it has been given, the low self takes over and does all the work of putting the suggestion into action. This furnishes us with a tool of the greatest value.

Man was not intended to live like a bear or a hermit, apart from others of his own nature, and, philosophy and reason will each agree with me, that man was born for sociability and finds his true delight in society. Society is a word capable of many meanings, and used here in each and all of them. Society, par excellence; the world at large; the little clique to which he is bound by early ties; the companionship of friends or relatives; even society tete a tete with one dear sympathizing soul, are pleasant states for a man to be in.

Have faith in success, achievement, health, happiness, and abundance. Have faith in the creative law of your mind, and as you apply the law of your mind constructively, you will grow in faith. Have faith in divine guidance, divine right action, the abundance of the infinite, and the goodness of God in the land of the living.

The purpose of this work is to present practical methods through which anyone, the beginner in particular, may realize his ideals, cause his cherished dreams to come true, and cause the visions of the soul to become tangible realities in everyday life. It does not claim to be complete; nor could any work on "the ideal made real" possibly be complete, because the ideal world is limitless and the process of making real the ideal is endless. To know how to begin is the principal secret, and he who has learned this secret may go on forever, until he reaches the most sublime heights.

Numbers are a key to the ancient views of cosmogony - in its broad sense, spiritually as well as physically considered, and to the evolution of the present human race; all systems of religious mysticism are based upon numerals.

This book has been crafted with purpose, with hope that their suggestions may furnish you a key to open the way to the attainment of your desires, and to explain that fear should be entirely banished from your effort to obtain possession of the things you desire.

A great listener gains more respect, makes better decisions, discovers things, and uncovers opportunities. In listening, it is essential that we give our full attention to the situation at hand. By so doing, we learn to live fully in the present - in the here and now - and to evaluate things as they are. This will also mean less indulgence in trivial talk and more time for the serious exchange of ideas, feelings, and opinions.

God is all there is. Life is all there is. Therefore, I am one with God in every person, every place, and every thing. Jesus said, “Lo, I am with you always.” I am, that Christ Presence within me, frees me from all negative belief; guides, directs, and supplies my every need. This omnipresent, omnipotent power of God sustains and maintains his creation at all times in perfect rhythm and harmony.

This book gives the history of marriage as a divine institution. It shows what the Bible says about divorce and remarriage. One chapter is given to explaining the causes of divorce.

That which is profoundly spiritual is in reality most directly practical. I will tell you a story from scripture which is profoundly spiritual. It is misunderstood in the world, but I know its inner meaning and will show you how altogether practical it is. In all the revelations which await you, there is none so fundamental as the forming of Christ in you. How is it formed? By whom and where is the sphere of the forming? In order to answer these questions we will turn to scripture. In the 9th chapter of Romans, Paul takes an old story whose chronological time is placed at 1856 BC.

It is the people with ideas who win most of the desirable places in the world. The person who can create something new and different is in demand for his/her ability to develop ideas.

The Human Aura, though visible only by the aid of clairvoyance, is palpably discerned or felt by millions of people who know nothing of psychic science or of the development of unusual perceptions. And though this aura, which surrounds every living organism, is vaguely described as "magnetism" by a great many people who have given some attention to it, that word, having a distinct technical meaning in other departments of scientific research, does not very properly describe exactly what we mean by auric effluence or radiation.

In this little audiobook will be found a few hints on the art of service which I have gathered from my elders and from my own experience. I am still trying to follow these hints, sometimes successfully, more often unsuccessfully; but I feel that they are all true, and I am thankful to be permitted to share them with others who - like myself - are learning how to serve.

The Art of Conversation: Twelve Golden Rules is a timeless classic originally published in 1907.

In the larger and deeper sense of education, John D. Rockefeller was one of the best prepared men of our time. He had all the severity of limitations; he was hindered and harassed by poverty and unfavorable conditions.
