It all started in a small industrial town in the north of England. Walking into a boxing gym was the start of an amazing metamorphosis for the 14-year-old. At age 20, he had developed into a 16-stone boxer, powerlifter, and ferocious street fighter, with a knock-out punch in both hands. This is the story of a young man who, lacking education, immigrated to Australia at just 18 years of age only to experience the twilight world of sleaze and violence in Perth’s underbelly, confronting and often overcoming the many challenges he encountered.

Moreover, it is also the story of Sigmund, whose patriotic blindness impacted his and his family’s life; the story of Nellie, who left Germany for Colombia before Nellie’s parents sought refuge in France; and whose mission would be to reunite the family in a peaceful and friendly country.

After promising Sigmund on his deathbed that they would reunite the family in a peaceful and friendly country, they make their way via ship to Colombia, the country Nellie had made her home just as the Nazi movement in Germany was gaining momentum. After their safe arrival, Freddy is forced to look for work in order to support his mother and himself while adjusting to new surroundings at the same time. After some fortuitous, work-related encounters, Freddy decides to not only run his own lingerie business but produce the raw materials he needs himself.

Imagine living in such a cold, desolate but beautiful place as the Arctic. Polar Bear shivers and quivers from the cold wind that blows and snowflakes that melt as they touch his warm nose. What strange creatures Polar Bear sees around him—whales that dive deep into the ocean, penguins that waddle and slip and slide on the ice but can swim like graceful ballerinas under water, brightly colored puffins who can fly and swim under water, the narwhal with its long pointed tusk. There is a lot to learn for a polar bear cub.
