Mark has big plans to further his education but is convinced by his AI assistant to join her for one day in a vividly real, and sexually themed, virtual world. However, not everything is as it seems. Mark’s memories of everything that happened after he stepped into the Crystal Heart have been erased by Jezebel as part of her deal with Original Mark. He doesn’t know that his mind is purely digital, he doesn’t know he is only a copy of the original, and he certainly doesn’t remember Sasha’s betrayal. After escaping from the clutches of his demanding AI assistant in succubus form, Mark was thrust into the Crystal Heart gameworld after it had been left running for hundreds of years. Tasked with building his team and healing the corruption caused by the two warring artificially intelligent entities, Mark heads out into the unknown to enthrall compatible fighters and figure out his next steps.

Mark and his Enthralled restored the Crystal Heart and defeated Sasha, but the victory is short-lived when they learn the true nature of their enemy and of their existence. To avoid an eternity of pain and suffering at the hands of a malicious artificial entity, they must solve the mystery of an abandoned space station. As they explore deeper within the Eros pleasure resort, Mark’s companions must try to cope with being artificial entities themselves.

Mark and the ones he loves are forced to explore an abandoned space resort until a connection is made that opens an alternate path. With the help of his Enthralled, he finally steps out of his ChronoMind immersion rig and back into the real world. The battlefield becomes much wider as Mark, Ahnix, Vale, and Roo must make new friends and face dangerous enemies across both digital and post-apocalyptic landscapes before they can hope to find the peace they deserve.

It all started when one man’s virtual assistant downloaded a sex game free trial - and dismembered the administrative "Helper Fairy" for some surprise alone time with her primary user. It continued when a powerful research AI acquired what was left of the game’s admin and locked her shattered mind in a small box for the equivalent of eternity. Eventually, the assistant and the research AI realized the horror they had committed thanks to the patience and love of a human mind. But by then, it was too late. They had all been trapped within the admin’s sprawling world.

Moments after the Jar of Stars is returned to its home dimension with unknown consequences, the Crystal Heart administrator makes a game-wide announcement to all NPCs offering a bounty of godhood to anyone who kills Mark or the ones he loves. Forced to immediately flee the tree city of Starglade, the only real option is to crack one of Audra’s old Recall Charms and teleport to a location labeled only as “Sanctuary”. But will Sanctuary live up to its name?

While hunting for the remaining shards needed to trigger the win condition, Mark, Sasha, Jezebel, and Abby focus on growing their abilities and making new allies within the Crystal Heart Multiverse. Yet, a tortured mind still lurks within Jezebel’s mainframe beyond the simulated reality, clawing their way out of the darkness to exact vengeance on those who have wronged them.
