I was having the perfect day when I suddenly found myself on the wrong side of an interdimensional portal. Instead of a weekend in wine country, I wound up in a trailer park that seemed stuck in the 1980s and filled with... goblin women? By the way, since when are goblins real? And why are the women so hot?

Life has a funny way of throwing a wrench in the spokes. One day I was about to take my hot coworker out to lunch, and suddenly I was struck by lightning and transported to a different world. Crazy how that works. Once I got over my initial shock, I realized that this place was absolutely incredible. Furthermore, all of the adult men were killed in battle just over a year ago. Yes, I was the only guy in town. Destiny’s hero, right? Wrong. Turns out I wasn’t the hero they wanted and prayed for.

Three. It's been three days since the Druids attacked us and nearly overwhelmed us. I have decided to travel south to the ruins of an old Army base to rescue a few survivors there. One of them, a beautiful woman named Iris, helped us out with something special: Her melons.

Well, I tried to decide between vintage video games, our own racetrack, hotrodding old cars, and ahem, fun times. I couldn't decide, so we just went with all of the above.

Life in the settlement of Hope kept getting better by the day. Iris's talent with plants secured our food stores, and the boys from Loch Raven our safety. All we needed to worry about was improving our systems, like running water. Except for one lingering problem: the Druids. When their leader promised to destroy us, I decided that I wasn't going to stand there and wait for him. We decided to take the fight to him—to wipe out the Druids once and for all so we could finally experience peace.

A promise made is a promise kept. Those words stayed in the front of my mind, reminding me that I had to go back down into the city, deep into gang territory, to rescue another woman. I had concerns about how well she would get along with the others, though. Gigantic mutants could sometimes be... testy. But on the brighter side of things, Hope was doing great! Our settlement grew stronger every day, with improved power systems, gardens, and finally some clean water. Our numbers slowly but steadily increased, as did our safety.

With the help of a team from a nearby settlement, the rebuilding begins with a focus on safety. Their healer, Jessica, is as beautiful as she is tough. If we could convince her to stay in Hope that would be a huge advantage. More hands means less work, and soon we had a thriving garden and four livable homes. With some help, I began work on a waterwheel that could power our new settlement. Next step: getting the plumbing working again. Things were going well, and life was simple and satisfying when we focused on the basics.

In just two weeks I had overcome insurmountable obstacles and emerged victorious, but my journey was far from over. With my queens, Lyanna and Brinia, by my side, it was time to start building a kingdom that would stand the test of time. But the road to glory is paved with danger. The king is furious with me for killing his cousin in a duel and will stop at nothing to exact his revenge. And if that wasn't enough, I found the perfect spot for my castle, but it's guarded by a massive, fire-breathing dragon.
