Kandis has a come a long way since her arrival in Latorra. She’s a level-four Phantasmal Artificer with high charisma and a team of fellow adventurers. Together, they set up a home base in the city of Talnier and hunt monsters to rack up experience points, wealth, supplies, and more. But Kandis can’t continue like this forever. She has some burning questions that require answers . . . As a Champion, Kandis must determine which god brought her to Latorra so she may take up their cause. Not doing so could have dire consequences.

Being a small dungeon on the outskirts of town in the backwaters of an unimportant kingdom isn't easy, but Kelsey's done her best to level up and become the best dungeon she can be: Digging a hole of ever-increasing depth and complexity. Creating an undead atmosphere that would make a necromancer proud. Spawning monsters and treasure. Killing adventurers. But lately, things have gotten a bit stale.

Adjusting to life in the magical realm of Latora hasn't been easy for Kandis Hammond. The twenty-four-year-old was plucked from her life in Sydney, Australia, and tossed into the Great Game without even a thread of clothing. But she's managed to survive the real-life role-playing game, gaining experience points and leveling up. Now she has a team of adventuring companions, and she's even become Councillor of the thriving frontier town of Talnier.

Before they entered the dungeon, there were plenty of warnings to suggest that Kandis Hammond and her Adventurers Guild companions were in for a world of chaos. The elves referred to it as the "Fortress of Unending Nightmare," and the entrance elevator caught fire just as the group stepped out of it. Now, with the dungeon intelligence, Axel, maniacally declaring they're going to have "so much fun," there's no telling what surprises are in store.

Suliel is returning to the walled city. But while she has the ability to assess others' primary loyalties, she remains deeply uncertain as to whom she can trust. Indeed, she even doubts her own mother's intentions. Fortunately, as she surveys her surroundings and navigates court intrigue, she's guided by a voice in her head: that of Kelsey, a sentient dungeon with an ax to grind. Unable to stifle her snarky attitude, Kelsey's avatar offends the black-eyed god Riadi when she expresses her desire to free the mortal races—a mission she expects Suliel to play a significant role in.

Traveling to distant, exotic lands and meeting interesting, exciting people is all part of Kelsey's gig as a dungeon. And if she has to kill someone, well . . . they probably had it coming. Ever at her—or at least her avatar's—side is the dependable Anton, and now he's leading her on a quest across the ocean to rescue his people from slavery. That doesn't mean Kelsey can neglect the home front though. Her putative liege, Suliel, has earned a telepathic link to her, allowing the dungeon to coordinate the development of the barony.

A Worldwalker in the Great Game, Kandis Hammond has built her character on charisma, social skills, and illusion magic, garnering her many roles in the town of Talnier, specifically secretary of the Town Council, member of the Adventurers' Guild, and head of the local bank. And with the town preparing to expand to support its growing population, her agenda is jam-packed. There are diplomatic meetings, budgets, and dungeon builds . . . as well as mysterious notes from fugitive elven bards. Plus, she's still figuring out which god is her patron.
