Syl was given a choice by Gramps when they died. Reincarnate as a regular person or embark on a daring experiment. Driven by a desire to honor Gramps and a sense of adventure, Syl chose the latter... only to awaken as a lowly slime. A farmed slime. The life of a farmed slime was cruel. Syl was constantly at the mercy of humans, a slime whose only purpose was to eat and recycle garbage. The threat of lethal core-destroying knives wielded by innocent children was a constant shadow. This was not the life Syl had envisioned. So, they made a daring escape to the wilderness!

Lily was an orphaned bunny girl with a frail body, but with a talent for penmanship and a boundless thirst for knowledge. Arakil, god of magic, found himself imprisoned within his grimoire, waiting for the perfect person to come along. When Lily picked up Arakil's grimoire, he found himself an eager and willing apprentice, while she found herself a knowledgeable teacher. Arakil teams up with Lily to foster her magical abilities, and maybe, somehow, work towards his freedom.

Syl hat den Wald bezwungen, hinterlistigen Goblin-Verrat überlebt und sich–als Elfe getarnt–in eine Stadt eingeschlichen. Nun hat Syl das nächste große Ziel vor Augen: eine fliegende Insel erobern! Überall wimmelt es von Pegasi, Harpyien, Ghulen und listigen Pixies, während Syl auf der Jagd nach dem schwer fassbaren gelben Schleim ist. Der Reiz der Blitzeigenschaft ist einfach zu stark, und Syl wird vor nichts zurückschrecken, um den gelben Kern ihrer stetig wachsenden Sammlung hinzuzufügen.

Syl bekam von Opa bei ihrem Tod eine Wahl gestellt: Wiedergeburt als gewöhnlicher Mensch – oder ein gewagtes Experiment wagen. Getrieben vom Wunsch, Opa zu ehren, und voller Abenteuerlust, entschied sich Syl für Letzteres … nur um als einfacher Schleim zu erwachen.
