Mohini Theevu is a Tamil social novel written by Kalki in 1950. The story is a periodic fiction narrated by the protagonist, Bhaskara Kavirayar, who shares an unbelievable experience that happened to his friend while returning to India from Burma in a ship during World War II. The ship sails away from India to escape from a Japanese cruiser and reaches a mysterious and beautiful island located away from the southeast of Sri Lanka.
