In the third book of Jocko, Jacob Henderson, a simple man with inexplicable, uncontrollable paranormal powers, consents to become the Sankta Savant, a holy being that is to protect the Mariner people from an impending invasion of time-traveling carnivores. Carnivores who brutally harvest the minds of victims, leaving them unconscious and dying. Jocko is a swarthy, ill-spoken piano refinisher, but to the Mariner, he is a deity.

Those few surviving the gunfire below were teleported aboard the hovering UFO in an automatic, emergency reaction. Andrew Davis, a human being, sat on the floor of this craft, holding his beautiful alien lover Julie, rocking back and forth desperately pleading for her to speak; but she could only lazily follow him with her eyes. Julie was a member of a race of beings called The Mariner who originated deep within the Earthly oceans. She was identical in external appearance to humans but had unnaturally deep green eyes.

Many tragic and many glorious events took place in the period from the late 1800’s to the 1970’s. Wars were fought, lives were created and lost, and fortunes were made and lost. Some by the natural hand of fate and others by the schemes of bad people who cared little about the suffering they caused. But it was love that would eventually bring the lost back into the fold, erase the unearned sins of the innocent, and ultimately triumph over tragedy and loss.

Virgil Holmes was born an anxious, unfortunate being. As hard as he tried, anxiety, guilt, and inferiority always held him back. He became shy and withdrawn. In his teens, he spent many hours shivering in the darkness of a closet trying to comprehend what was wrong. What was wrong with him? Why was he the way he was? There was no answer. Eventually, the answer would come as an unwelcome companion, but it would come, like it or not.

Houston is a convoluted hell that Andrew Davis must escape from before it consumes him. He makes his way to West Texas and encounters a man named Jocko, who has, like Andrew, escaped a dark and painful past. Andrew soon discovers that Jocko is far from ordinary as they both are unwillingly thrust into a new version of reality. Confused, angry and desperate, Andrew's sanity is assured by an unbelievable, unlikely love affair.

This is a fictional story based on real scientific and medical facts. It is the story of an infection of Toxoplasmosis gondii and Leucochloridium paradoxum, the first acquired by contact with cat feces and the second acquired from snails. The horrifying thing is that these two have evolved ways to control the minds of their hosts, sending them to their demise. It is also a love story between two neurotic people who cannot cope with a world where their anxiety rules everything.

Jimmy and Emma were handicapped psychologically with anxiety, but they fell in love and got married. They were even anxious to leave home to go to the grocery store, that's the state they were in, but they were in love and had each other. Unfortunately, Jimmy contracted Toxoplasmosis, a parasite that goes for the brain.
