Sephron has failed. Rhayadera is in shambles. The evil master has come forth, and entire cities are destroyed. The survivors exist only in fear, not knowing if they will be the next to perish. He joins an academy befriending a mischievous bookworm, a girl with a tail, and a young chef with big dreams. However, his abilities to see and manipulate energy set him apart from the rest. When Sephron learns of the existence of this monster, he and Ian set out to find the truth; they soon discover more than they could have ever imagined.
