But when my father shows up at my door and asks me to find my missing sister, I'm unable to say no because it's my sister, and my wolf's interested. And my wolf always gets her way. Except, when she's interested, people end up dead, too.

So when I complete their trials, and they offer me an invitation to the Academy, I do the unthinkable and say yes. The plan is simple—find the man who did something outrageous to me when I was five years old, get out of the city of gods, and never look back. If only it were that simple.

Elyseans are so wise… Elyseans are so beautiful…. Elyseans are divine… Elyseans are power-hungry assholes with a god complex. Yes, I said it. Sue me and bring out your pitchforks. Unfortunately for me, the deadly Elysean Trials are right around the corner. Despite my unpopular opinion of them and anything Olympian-gods related, when they unleash their strange blue birds to select mortals around the country as candidates, one of them chooses me.

As an ODP agent, it was always my dream to work big cases, chase after bad guys and lock them up. And now that there's a brand new, deadly drug is circulating the streets, all my dreams are about to come true. Well . . . not all of them. Because where there's trouble, of course Dominic is going to be there. Not only does he haunt my dreams, he's back to haunt my reality, too. It doesn't help that he gets into my head without making an effort. And it doesn't help that he's in pain whenever he's close to me, either.

The demons are after us. The ECU is after us. What are the odds that we'll ever stop them from hunting us down? Very low. Good thing I'm all up for impossible challenges. When the demons came into the ECU's "research" facility where we were being held prisoner, the strange dragon around my hand came to life, giving me a way to end those suckers for good. We might have made it out alive, but a lot of witches like us didn't. Instead, they were kidnapped by the demons. 

The Green coven is under attack. The children of its leaders are disappearing without a trace, and nobody knows how to find them. Witches are losing it, and the coven is on the brink of self-destruction. The strangest thing is, the exact same things happened a decade ago, right before the Bone coven broke apart, and I'm not one to believe in coincidences. Solving this case means making my place in the paranormal world once and for all, and I'm going to use everything I have to get to the bottom of it - even if it means exposing my real magic to the world.

I thought I'd never see Julian Walker again. Never came much sooner than I expected. After killing the Hedge witches that wreaked havoc among covens for decades, I thought people were finally going to learn how to see past the physical. I thought they'd begin to trust me. As if that wasn't enough, my sworn enemy, the Hedge witch Jane Dunham, will stop at nothing to get the kid, and she wants to destroy my entire world from the inside out while at it - her words, not mine. And she's found the perfect way to do it.   

The Carnival of Light didn't exactly go the way the ECU had imagined. We ended up putting the best show in the world for them. Hiding away in an abandoned monastery while all our enemies knew where we were sounded much better as an idea. Now that we were actually living there, all Storm witches who'd come to meet us at the carnival, it was a whole other story. We'd gotten every person on the ECU hit-list under one roof, and we had no means to protect them. Yet. Finding the Spellmaker kid is our top priority. Without spells, we don't have much hope to make our place in the world.

When you stand for something in life, you're bound to make some enemies. It's just my luck that my enemy turned out to be a really evil asshole with very powerful magic. Hector Haworth is coming after me no matter how hard I keep pretending he isn't. I've got two things he wants badly: a wolf he can possess, and the Reaper String - an enchanted item that can give him access to even more power. Giving up my freedom for the safety of my sister felt like a small price to pay - right until she went and disappeared again. 

Now, as I chase after her, I have to continue to lie to the people that matter the most to me. When I do find her, I'm not the only one, and the fairy with a voice that makes imaginary spiders crawl up my skin makes me do something even worse than selling my soul. Stuck with my sworn enemy in one head, finding my father is no longer an issue. What comes after might just make me regret having let Jane live. But by then, as is the case with most bad decisions, it will be too late...

Arriving at the Seelie Court to heal the sick prince who saved my life when I was five was supposed to be the end of my nightmarish (for the most part) trip through the fae realm. I should have been on my way home already, far away from fae and their politics. Instead, I'm running through unfamiliar woods with a furry friend at my heels, and magic that's changing me from the inside out—and not in a cute "glow-up" kind of way.

There's a reason why they exist and why they choose mortals to bring to their Academy. A very good reason, just not the one the world knows.

Until I meet three high fae who seem to know everything about me. They mock me, humiliate me, and I can do nothing but take it. And that's not even my only concern. Derek Dane is gone, and Dominic needs my help to find him. Having to play bait isn't something I look forward to. Sleeping under the same roof with him is going to test both of us, and we were never good with keeping our hands off each other.
