Beginning his 2000+ year life as a teenage founder of the Star Force military, Paul-024 has been on the front lines throughout the growth of Earth's planetary defense force from inception through both the Skarron and lizard wars. Three years have passed for Ginsi, aka 'Uuba Fett.' During those three years, she has trained non-stop under Morgan's relentless direction, regaining some semblance of her former self. But word finally comes that Star Force and the Neofan have finished their prototype essence shield drainer, and they need to test it with her integrated...in battle.

The Paladin's quest to save the Andromeda galaxy begins to escalate as they seize a disputed planet from two obstinate lower level races who are blocking travel and commerce through it that other systems are depending upon to fuel the war effort against the Asferja. The thing is, after the Paladin uncork the traffic jam, they're not giving the planet back for the malcontents to muck up a second time...and that doesn't go over very well with the locals.

Paul's mission in Andromeda comes to an end and he must reluctantly return to the Deebees to oversee their critical early development...but on the way back he goes nightcrawler hunting, rescuing the last pieces of the Progarren civilization that the previous Gauntlet War failed to eradicate, as this one is only beginning to escalate.

The invasion of the Milky Way has begun, and the Empire is winning easily, but when it becomes clear that the war with the Asferja will be nowhere near ending before the next invasion arrives and forces them to split their focus, Paul is tapped to lead a small team to the nearby galaxy of Andromeda where the Asferja intergalactic "threads" are tethered, with more being created as the war goes on.

The fracturing of the V'kit'no'sat Empire has now come to fruition, but the full-fledged civil war has not resulted. With the depth of experience and knowledge the dinosaur races have accumulated over the millennia, they know the destructive cost that such devastation would bring, and a conservative warfare methodology breaks out wherein the fighting is over territory while trying to spare lives and as much equipment as possible, so not to weaken the overall empire.

Gaining greater responsibilities, Mak'to'ran continues his push to reforge the V'kit'no'sat empire while uncovering yet another mystery of the past.
