Undertake a sacred passage into the temple of nature, guided by meditation master and vision quest leader John P. Milton. Since the 1940's, this pioneering spiritual teacher has led over 10,000 vision quests into the wilds of Colorado, the Himalayas, Bali, the Arctic, Mexico, and other sacred sites around the world. Now this pathfinder teachers you a way back to the wilderness within you, to discover how it is connected with the vast and sacred mystery of nature. Recorded live in the remote wilderness of Arizona's Chiricahua mountains, Sky Above, Earth Below gathers together dozens of rare meditations and other practices into a six-stage curriculum you can practice and explore anywhere in nature. Highlights include: why meditation in nature is unequaled in its power to transform our lives, a full-body meditation for the deepest relaxation of your life, how nature's healing energy can wash and renew your body, how to clear and open blocked internal pathways to open them to earth's energy, and a 10-minute practice to restore your internal balance with the natural world.

Paradise Lost is the first epic of English literature written in the classical style. John Milton saw himself as the intellectual heir of Homer, Virgil, and Dante, and sought to create a work of art which fully represented the most basic tenets of the Protestant faith. His work, which was dictated from memory and transcribed by his daughter, remains as one of the most powerful English poems.View our entire collection of podcasts at www.solgood.orgAll Librivox recordings are in the public domain

Story0
Paradise Lost is an epic poem in blank verse by the 17th-century English poet John Milton (1608-1674). The first version, published in 1667, consists of ten books with over ten thousand lines of verse. A second edition followed in 1674, arranged into twelve books (in the manner of Virgil's Aeneid) with minor revisions throughout. It is considered by critics to be Milton's major work, and it helped solidify his reputation as one of the greatest English poets of his time.

Raymond is the host with the most…skeletons in the closet, that is. Welcome to the Inner Sanctum. Raymond Edward Johnson and Paul McGrath will be your playfully pernicious presenters, introducing eerie tales of scheming spouses and their deadly demands. It can be murder when brutal better halves take "'til death do us part" as a challenge. What does it sound like when a heart breaks? Maybe it sounds like Raymond's door…creaking like the opening of a long sealed casket, scraping like the chains of a prisoner on the dungeon floor...

William Shakespeare was born in Stratford upon Avon in late April 1565. He was one of eight children. Little is known about his life, but what is evident is the enormous contribution he has made to world literature. His writing was progressive, magnificent in scope and breathtaking in execution. His plays and sonnets helped enable the English language to speak with a voice unmatched by any other. William Shakespeare died on 23 April 1616, survived by his wife and two daughters. He was buried two days after his death in the chancel of the Holy Trinity church.
