While giving her son a tour of the property, they stumble upon a hidden trapdoor that leads to an undiscovered basement with a tunnel. Curious to find out where the tunnel leads, Tony breaks through the wall and discovers underground passageways rumored to have been used by pirates to smuggle their stolen goods into the historic city.

Fall has arrived in the tiny town of Divine, Kansas, and the area residents are gearing up for the annual fall festival including Delta, who is determined to win the baking contest and beat last year's reigning champion. For Millie and the Siren of the Seas' crew members, the Southampton departure is bittersweet, as they leave behind new friends that they’ve made, including Halbert Pennyman, an area homeless man. Within hours of the ship leaving port to head back to Miami, the ship's chief of security discovers the Southampton Strangler could very well be on board. As disturbing events begin to unfold, Millie is convinced that not only is the strangler on board, but she's also managed to get on the killer’s radar.

Carlita Garlucci is thrilled that her daughter-in-law and grandchildren have arrived in Savannah for their first visit. She secretly hopes that they will fall in love with the area and decide to move to the beautiful city, bringing her that much closer to fulfilling her late husband’s dying wish. The family is on their way and Carlita is anxiously awaiting their arrival when she receives an urgent phone call from her daughter, Mercedes, who is in the riverfront district, where she was planning to meet another author to discuss a cold case murder.

Millie and the crew on board Siren of the Seas have their hands full when a group of cowboys and cowgirls board their ship for an action-packed, fun-filled cruise. Andy Walker, the ships cruise director, is pulling out all the stops since one of the passengers, Colt Kenworth, has close ties to Majestic Cruise Lines CEO, Ted Danvers.

Carlita, Mercedes, and Tony are gearing up to celebrate their first Thanksgiving at their new home in historic Savannah, Georgia. Along with the excitement of the upcoming holiday season, there’s a lingering sadness because part of their family won’t be there to celebrate. When Carlita’s friend, Victoria “Tori” Montgomery, invites the Garlucci family to her “Merry Masquerade” party at Montgomery Hall, Carlita is thrilled to have something to take her mind off the approaching holiday.

She vows to quit her bad habits and get her act together by going cold turkey.
