Además, expresa una preocupación por la palabrería y discusiones sin fin de falsos doctores que se apartan de las palabras de Jesucristo.

Tesalonicenses está inmersa en un contexto histórico complejo sin cuyo conocimiento es imposible interpretar correctamente su contenido. Para situar dicho contexto es menester, sin embargo, decidir el peso que se va a asignar a los distintos relatos que lega la tradición, dado que a veces no armonizan bien o directamente se contradicen. Dependiendo de esos pesos nos habremos adscrito a una u otra escuela. En el caso de 1 Tesalonicenses, los documentos relevantes son, la propia epístola y el libro neotestamentario de los Hechos de los apóstoles.

Es una breve carta dirigida a los creyentes en el mesías que habitaban en la antigua ciudad de Colosas, otrora situada en Frigia, al sudoeste de Asia Menor. La carta se presenta como obra de Pablo de Tarso, autor de otras epístolas incluidas en el Nuevo Testamento, y la tradición eclesiástica no cuestionó su autoría. Sin embargo, desde principios del siglo XIX se ha puesto en cuestionamiento que fuese Pablo el auténtico autor. En la actualidad, su autoría está en debate.

David is old and bed-ridden, and his son Adonijah proclaims himself king with the help of David's commander Joab and the priest, Abiathar. Hearing this news, David instructs the prophet Nathan to anoint David's son, Solomon, as king. The people rally behind Solomon in a grand procession to the royal throne. The books of Chronicles were originally one book, as in the case of Samuel and Kings. The Hebrew title is translated the "words of the days", yet the word Chronicles is mainly adopted by a theologian named Jerome who thought that they ought to bear the title from the Greek word for time which is "Chronos". This title created a distraction from the true meaning and purpose of this wonderful book. The main purpose of Chronicles was to form a genealogical description of the 12 tribes of Israel from the earliest recorded time.

The book of Second Corinthians is a Pauline Epistle (letter from Paul). The Apostle Paul wrote it around 56 A.D. The key personalities of this book are the Apostle Paul, Timothy, and Titus. Paul wrote this letter to the church in Corinth to defend and protect his Apostleship, and to teach and warn against false teachers who were spreading heresy. The last thing Apostle Paul teaches in Second Corinthians is how to test yourself.

The purpose of the book of Amos was to announce God's holy judgment on the Kingdom of Israel (the Northern Kingdom), call them to repentance, and to turn from their self-righteous sins and idolatry. God raised up the prophet Amos, as an act of His great mercy to a people who repeatedly shunned and disobeyed Him.

The genre of Proverbs is mainly "Proverbs" as the name describes, there are also some Parables and Poetry. This book was written mainly by Solomon, the wisest king ever to rule, however some of the later sections are written by Lemuel and Agur. It was written during Solomon's reign 970-930 B.C. He asked God for wisdom to rule God's nation and He granted the request. The main purpose of this book is to teach wisdom to God's people. Proverbs are short clever explanations, which are easy to remember.

The narrator continues the chronological account of Israel and Judah's kings. Each of Israel's kings is more evil than the previous, and Northern Israel gradually loses its territories to Assyrian pressure from the northeast. Assyria finally invades the northern kingdom of Israel entirely and captures the Israelites, removing them to Assyria. God's presence leaves the people of Israel, and scattered Near-Eastern groups populate the Promised Land, worshipping their own gods.
