Story
"Nous assistons probablement, et je le souhaite de tout cœur, au passage à un stade éthique supérieur où la pensée humaniste s'émancipe de son cadre anthropocentrique pour s'étendre à tous les êtres sensibles qui peuplent la Terre. Dès lors, faire preuve d'"Humanité" ne signifie plus simplement respecter les autres êtres humains, mais tout être vivant, selon son degré de sensibilité et de conscience. La vie s'est exprimée sur Terre à travers une foisonnante diversité."

Story
Manipulators and pathological liars are more common than you think. They live amongst us, these masters of deceit with no regard for other people. With every flattering compliment they leave you, there is an ulterior motive, and once they discover what's most important to you, they will exploit you to no end. They'll take advantage of you, and, if you allow them to get to close or intimate with you, they might just take you for every cent you have.

Story
Dr. Hawkins begins this lecture by saying that our spirit will be where it must be as a consequence of that which it is. Everything is exactly precisely where it has brought itself through its own decision. He states: "There is nobody paddling the canoe except yourself!" However, with the progression of consciousness, the "I" is less and less limited and ultimately becomes the source of Knowingness itself.

Story
American psychologist William James (1842-1910) was also a philosopher of considerable repute and borrowed the theory of pragmatism first put forward by Charles Peirce to help form his own interpretation of the philosophy. Pragmatism: A New Name for Some Old Ways of Thinking is based on the notion that the meaning of any idea is valid only if it works both experientially and practically. The book consists of a series of eight lectures, delivered at the Lowell Institute in Boston in November and December of 1906, and at Columbia University in January 1907.

In this guide, we’ll go over some of the main aspects of existentialism, depression, intelligence, and deep thinking. First, the six standard themes of existentialism will be explained. This will give you more insights in what it is, and how it is sub-divided into various issues that have been thought of by the great existentialist thinkers. Next, we will clarify why gifted individuals are often struggling with depressive thoughts and existentialist questions about meaning, which is typical.

Story

Story
More than at any other time in human history, we live in an age defined by movement and mobility; yet, we lack a unifying theory which takes this seriously as a starting point for philosophy. The history of philosophy has systematically explained movement as derived from something else that does not move: space, eternity, force, and time.

Story
Personal, reflective, and gently investigative, these early essays have a raw, fresh quality which predates the more formal theory and practice of Peter Ralston's two popular books, The Book of Not Knowing and Pursuing Consciousness. Many of the questions we might struggle with in life - identity in relation to others, authenticity in the face of belief systems, the draw we have to pursue ineffective self-serving urges, and our tendency to conceptualize rather than experience things - are described here in simple, almost conversational language.

Story
When The Phenomenology of Dance was first published in 1966, Maxine Sheets-Johnstone asked, "When we look at a dance, what do we see?" Her questions about the nature of our experience of dance and the nature of dance as a formed and performed art are still provocative and acutely significant today. Sheets-Johnstone considers dance an aesthetic mode of expression and integrates theories of dance into philosophical discussions of the nature of movement.
