L'Iliade raconte le siège de Troie, mais ne le suit pas dans son intégralité. Colère terrible qui ménera son meilleur ami, Patrocle, à la mort et rendra Achille ivre de vengeance. Vengeance aveugle qui verra Hector, héros des Troyens, anéanti dans un combat singulier.
