Der Briefwechsel König Friedrichs II. von Preußen und seiner Schwester Wilhelmine von Bayreuth gehört zu den bedeutendsten Korrespondenzen des 18. Jahrhunderts. 1728 bis 1758 haben sie sich spottsüchtig und sensibel über ihre Vergnügungen und Kunstprojekte an den Höfen Potsdams und Bayreuths, aber auch über ihre Leiden in Krieg und Krankheit unterhalten.
