Xar and Wish are on the final leg of their journey—first stop: the Mines of Unhappiness. Here, starvation is never far away for the magical creatures who toil in its horrible depths. After her grampa dies, the last place Libby expects to see him is sitting on the edge of her bed. But that's what happens the night after the funeral. Jordan, and his sister Amy, take courage and decide to uncover the mystery of their haunted house. They enter the room in which the ghostly boy and girl had died in 1962, and are petrified by the paranormal activities that take place right before their eyes. The room fills with a dense fog, and a mysterious cold breeze blows on Jordan and Amy, and they fall to the ground. The ghost in the old-fashioned tuxedo stares deep into Jordan’s eyes while warning - “You are making a huge mistake!”

Jordan and Amy are persistent in their effort to uncover the mystery of the ghosts that haunt their house. The ghostly boy and girl appear time and time again, and the boy states that their father, Mr. Walter Morgan, is not responsible for their deaths. Then who was responsible for their deaths? Determined to find out what happened on that fateful day in 1962, Jordan and Amy investigate further, and finally, the ghostly boy reveals the truth.
