I tangoed with the devil, and my life fell into chaos.

I thought big feelings were my curse, and then I thought big feelings were my superpower. It turns out my big feelings were a sign of demonic oppression.

In the new age coaching world I used to live in, I hear women constantly discuss about the “low energy,” “low vibe” emotions regularly come up in life and business, and that this is normal.

I used to teach the same thing — normalize these unpleasant, painful parts of you, make friends with your demons, and make no part of you “bad.”

I was wrong!!

On the other side, with Jesus in my life, I am emotionally STABLE for the first time EVER.

The answer is not to invest in more coaches or communities that can normalize the chaos…

The answer is Jesus.

I’m not against you investing in a coach — I AM a coach — and I have and do invest in coaching, therapy, support…

But without Jesus, I was dependent.

I was addicted.

To coaches, investment, and self-help.

I was trying to fix the brokenness inside of me with everything except for Jesus.

Just because you give your life to Jesus, doesn’t mean your suffering will go away.

Instead, your suffering changes AND you have a new type of strength and hope to lean on — God’s strength and Christ’s hope.

This is a story about hope, grief, and faith. This video is about praising God earnestly — not out of a sense of duty or obligation — in the dark valleys of my life.

I had vilified my mind — do you make FEELINGS wrong? (READ👇)

We are called to love God with our minds — to know Him, to seek Him.

And to bring to Him every emotion that we feel. No emotion is too bad for God.

Job brings grief, despair, and anguish. Elijah brings exhaustion. I brought to God confusion.

He can handle your anger. In fact, when you keep anger from Him, it just comes up in other ways AND corrodes your own heart, your own ability to connect to Him (and to others) fully.

How can you love God with your whole heart while pieces of your heart are hidden inside prisons of shame?

There is a wrong way to express our feelings. When we lash out, blame, hate, yell, hit — and all of these harmful expressions of emotion result directly from keeping them from God.

He loves you BECAUSE you bring Him all of you, not in spite of your pain, anguish, or anger.

He DELIGHTS in all of you.
