    May 15 2025

Hello, stunning tiny little ND brains! 🫠✨

This week we are getting raw and realz 👀 (yes, even more than usual)! We discuss burn out, Tara had a great LUHK-SA and Grace has been the mayor of phlegmville while turning 36 "yay!" *said phlegmilly*

💌 In this week’s dilemma a divine listener, who just submitted a research paper after years of hard work struggles to actually celebrate. Instead of feeling proud, their mind spirals with self-doubt, perfectionism, and the pressure of what’s next.

    We discuss:

    • Why it’s hard to feel happy after a big win - the dopamine link
    • How self-judgment and exhaustion steals the joy
    • Book the celebration for later, no pressure now
    • Why milestones look different for ADHD brains

🤌 RECS (we're doing two each):

    • Tara's recs - The micellar water baby wipe hack AND snake plants
    • Grace's recs - an update on Cancer Council's BB Cream and an EVEN BETTER formulation for oily girlies. ALSO The Autistic Burnout Workbook by Dr Megan Anna Neff

  • 50. *SPECIAL* "HELP! I CAN'T DO LONG DISTANCE FRIENDSHIP" - Why ADHD turns us into chronic ghosters 🫣👻
    May 8 2025

Hi Bestiessss – It’s another SPECIAL throwback episode from the early days of our PATRE0N!

This episode is juicy AF and is packed with friendship dilemmas and vulnerable conversations about ADHD that we know so many of you will relate to.

First up, we answer a Patreon listener question: Grace shares a bit about her AuDHD diagnosis journey (and what that’s looked like over time). Tara talks through her own exploration of neurodiversity and why she feels she sits more in the ADHD-only camp.

    DIVERGENT DILEMMAS:

💌 “My friend needs time to decide whether she wants to continue our friendship and I can’t handle the rejection.”

    - We talk about our old babe Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD), friendship limbo, and why ghosting hits differently when you’re neurodivergent.

    - We also discuss why women with ADHD are way more likely to experience emotional highs and lows in friendships – and how we can soften the shame and start building safer emotional habits.

💌“Help! When I’m not nearby friends and family, I find it impossible to stay in contact.”
    - Classic ‘out of sight, out of mind’ struggle!

    - We chat about the emotional spiral that comes from not replying, plus gentle hacks to help you stay connected even when your brain is on ✨airplane mode✨.

  • 49. *SPECIAL* Inside the ACTUAL process of an ADHD diagnosis: Grace's audio diary (from the VAULT!)
    May 1 2025

    Hiii neurodivergent dreamboats 💖

We have a special treat for you today - a full episode straight from our Patreon vault... if you've ever wondered what an ADHD diagnosis is like, or if you're going through the process yourself right now, this ep is for you!

A year ago our little Gracie-babe went to see a psychiatrist to get diagnosed with ADHD. She'd been diagnosed 18 months before by a psychologist, but she needed to get re-diagnosed with a psychiatrist to get meds.

Because the appointment was in the city (a 3 hr drive away) Tara body-doubled with Grace and drove her there... and they recorded a 'diary' documenting all the emotional rollercoaster feels before, during and after the appointment.

Want more unfiltered eps like this? Join our Patreon community

    In this episode:

    • Grace shares her raw emotions the night before her diagnosis, audio-diary style
    • We debrief what happened in her psychiatrist assessment - the surprises, awkwardness and frustrating moments
    • What starting stimulant medication was like in the first few months, and the differences she noticed in her brain/body
    • Grace reflects on her anxiety and the traits she now identifies as AuDHD (but didn't at the time of her ADHD diagnosis), and how medication has impacted those
    • Grace shares the early side effects she experienced on ADHD stimulant medication, including low appetite and weight loss, and why that can be a risk for people with ARFID

We love you guys, and don't you dare RSD!

    Gracie-babe & Tata xx

    Apr 24 2025

    Hiiiiiiii ADHD bestie BABES!

Today we're sharing the recording of our VERY FIRST live podcast event (a few weeks ago) where we celebrated the launch of Grace’s book The ADHD Focus Friend... AND reaching the amazing podcast milestone of 250K downloads! We had such a wonderful time meeting some of our gorgeous listeners in person and we can’t wait to meet more of you in the near future!

We discuss Grace’s book The ADHD Focus Friend and why it's different to traditional productivity tools because it's designed for inconsistency, demand avoidance and messiness.

Grace explains how the book design reduces the load on working memory and why productivity is connected emotional regulation and nervous system regulation.

We get the tea on what she DIDN’T want to put in the book and why, as well as answer questions around PMDD, parenthood, working memory, RSD and so much more.

RSD corner: Tara is RSDing that you can't see her making finger quotations when uses the phrase "acting normal" in reference to ND kids , but pls know she is.

Sending you allll the love and if you RSD we will just be exceptionally mad so don’t plz

Lots of loveeeee Tara and Grace! Xxx

    Apr 10 2025

    Hello tiniest ADHD babies 💁‍♀️

WE ARE OFFICIALLY BACKKKK TO OUR LIVE WEEKLY EPS!! (Grace has been away on holiday for 3 weeks and Tara has been a shell of a human without her, obvs)

This week we're bringing you an interview with content creator and AuDHD advocate Emma Llewellyn (@emmasmindovermatter) all about PMDD - which is pre-menstrual dysphoric disorder. This topic is one that we get asked about often, so we wanted to do a deep dive with Emma, who raises awareness about PMDD frequently on her Instagram, and is always so real, raw and honest.

PMDD is a disorder that causes psychological and physical symptoms in the days and weeks before a person gets their period (the luteal phase). People who have ADHD are more likely to have PMDD than those who do not, possibly due to especially low levels of dopamine relating to ADHD.

    We discuss:
    • how it feels to have PMDD and how it can impact our lives, moods, relationships, jobs, energy levels and more

    • how Emma realised she had PMDD and her journey being diagnosed

    • how PMDD exacerbates emotions like rage, anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts, low self-esteem and shame

    • what 'PMDD survival mode' feels like and how communicating our needs to our partners or friends can reduce resentment and blame

    • the dysphoric aspect of PMDD means you barely recognise yourself during the luteal phase (which can feel quite scary/like a loss of control), and this can be very confusing and disheartening

    • More information on PMDD & support here

    RECS 🤌
    • Tara is recommending a show called 'Please Like Me', written by Josh Thomas and featuring comedians like Hannah Gadsby. The dramedy tackles sensitive topics like mental health and neurodivergence while also being v. funny.
    • Grace is recommending a Netflix show she can’t stop bingeing called ‘The Lady’s Companion’ which is essentially what you’d get if Bridgerton and Jane the Virgin had a baby. 👼

We will be back in your DIVINE little neurodivergent ears next Thursdayyyy, and until then don't RSD (especially when you have PMDD bby girl 💣💥)

    G-baby and Ta xx

    Mar 27 2025

    Hi besties!

    On the pod today:
Our Second Official ADHD Besties Symposium is here and this time we're looking at ADHD and Friendships. Why? Because when you have ADHD they can be hard bby.

    ---

🦋 JOIN OUR PATREON COMMUNITY for extra subscriber-only episodes every week and the BEST community ever!!

    ---

We have curated THE BEST 🤌 dilemmas on friendships from our very handsome (flicks hair into quiff) back catalogue and put them together for you to share with the people around you so that they understand your Gorgeous Little Neurodivergent Brains (GLNB’s) a bit better OR to remind you to be kind to those GLNBs when it comes to managing friendships.

    This week we answer a series of dilemmas specific to ADHD and friendships including;

💌 "How can I manage relationships/friendships when my ADHD makes me “outta sight, outta mind”?!

💌 "I feel like my roommate is embarrassed by me because of my ADHD - how do I bring this up without creating a full blown drama?"

💌 "ADHD drains my social battery but my friends think I'm avoiding them" -with the gorgeous Olivia from @neurodiversing

💌 "AuDHD, debilitating RSD and being left out of friendship groups"

    We discuss:

    • ADHD texting paralysis/communication overwhelm, why we can’t reply, and how to make it easier
    • How hyperfocus makes time melt away (and why every message starts with ‘omg I’m so sorry’)
    • Why being upfront about your ADHD can save friendships
    • Why being pitied is so painful for ADHDers
    • The double standard of being ‘child-like’ with ADHD (why does no one mention the positives?!)
    • How RSD can sabotage friendships
    • Why ADHDers and AuDHDers rest differently—and how to redefine fun for yourself
    • The joy of missing out—why it’s sometimes not just okay but IMPORTANT
    • How to fix relationships after an RSD spiral
    • What to do if you’ve canceled too many times due to burnout
    • How to stop self-sabotaging friendships & work relationships

We will be back in your GLND ears NEXT THURSDAY
And until then: *said in a melodic chorus* Don’t RSD baby girllll 💖
