• She Quit at 16 and Came Back for Joy
    Feb 27 2026

Send us a text. We'd love to hear from you!

What if the bravest way to win is to skate for joy instead of judgment? We sat down with hearts still buzzing after watching Alysa Liu light up the ice, and we followed that thread into a bigger conversation about self-worth, presence, and success without self-betrayal. Her story of leaving at 16, returning for the love of the feeling, and then radiating ease on the world’s biggest stage cracked something open for us.

We trace a cultural pivot away from grind-and-ache ambition toward autonomy and aliveness. From Simone Biles’ boundary-setting to memories of Kerri Strug pushing through a broken ankle, we ask what we celebrate and why. Liu’s calm in the kiss-and-cry, her choice to train and live on her terms, and the way her joy moved a crowd highlight a powerful truth: technique impresses, but presence transmits. That transmission is available to all of us, whether we’re building a business, raising kids, making art, or healing our relationship with money.

If you’re ready to trade perfection for presence and make your life your own, press play. Then tell us: what’s one thing you’ll do this week for the sheer joy of how it feels? Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs a spark, and leave a review to help more listeners find the show.

  • Becoming Self-Governed: Resist Coercion and Control to Claim Your Authority
    Feb 22 2026

Send us a text. We'd love to hear from you!

Welcome to episode 6, season 5 of the Woman Uncaged podcast! In this latest episode, we dive into self-governance as a daily practice that blends inner sovereignty with community power, and we track how that intersects with money, autonomy, and the right to be heard. From miscarriage criminalization becoming more common to the slow creep of voting barriers, we name where control is showing up and how not to “obey in advance” when systems attempt to usurp our agency.

We also pull apart narratives designed to send women back into dependence, from tradwife aesthetics to head-of-household voting fantasies. Together we map small, consistent actions to claim our own authority. Along the way, we contrast extractive systems with regenerative ones—because a culture that honors biodiversity, reciprocity, and awe doesn’t just protect rights, it makes life worth living.

If you’re craving clarity, courage, and concrete steps to reclaim your time, body, voice, and money, we hope this conversation is a spark. Subscribe, share with a friend who needs it, and leave a review with one way you’re choosing self-governance this week.

  • Why Is It So Hard To Say No?
    Feb 14 2026

Send us a text. We'd love to hear from you!

What if the most loving thing you say this week is no?

Welcome to Season 5 Episode 5!

We unpack why so many women default to appeasement: early grooming to be pleasing, the fawn response as a learned safety strategy, and the sales culture that pressures quick yeses. Then we rebuild choice from the body up. Learn how to slow urgency, map your personal signals for yes and no, and test boundaries in low-stakes moments so you can recognize red flags sooner. We talk about instinct injury, how it severs us from our inner mammal, and what it takes to restore that bond without swinging into all-or-nothing reactions.

Expect frank examples—like saying no to hard-sell tactics, retiring the “I’m fine” reflex, and practicing small refusals while dating to see how a partner handles your autonomy. We connect the dots between chronic compliance and real-world costs: resentment, health issues, and relationships built on performance rather than presence. With nervous-system-aware support, a no becomes clean, kind, and steady, even when others test it. As John O’Donohue reminds us, being faithful to your life demands renewal. No is the gate that guards that fidelity and the ground from which a true yes can rise.

If this resonates, follow the show, share it with a friend who needs backup for their next boundary, and leave a review to help more listeners reclaim their yes and their no.

  • Embracing a Pleasure-Led Life Without Apology
    Feb 7 2026

Send us a text. We'd love to hear from you!

What if pleasure wasn’t a guilty whisper but a wise guide? We dive into a frank, tender conversation about how women can reclaim pleasure from the grip of productivity culture, sin narratives, and the “tiny treat” marketing trap. From basking in the sunlight on a winter day to long, meandering talks that light up the mind, we explore how genuine delight is inseparable from presence—and how noticing the moment where pleasure turns into numbing can break cycles of restriction and excess.

We also widen the lens beyond the senses: what brings your mind pleasure, your heart pleasure, your soul pleasure? When you ask this daily, a pleasure-guided life stops sounding hedonistic and starts looking deeply humane. You may not recognize it from the outside—fewer shoulds, more signals—but you’ll feel it in the inside-out aliveness that follows. Join us for a thoughtful, funny, and gently rebellious invitation to choose joy without apology, stitch more meaning into your days, and let attention—not guilt—be your compass.

If this conversation resonates, follow the show, share it with a friend, and leave us a quick review so more listeners can find it.

  • Choosing Mutuality Over Metrics: Rethinking Wealth
    Feb 3 2026

Send us a text. We'd love to hear from you!

Want to know why a bigger bank balance can calm your nervous system yet still leave you restless? We dig into the messy, honest truth: money absolutely fixes spreadsheet problems, while falling short on the deeper needs that make life feel rich. Together we unpack how women are taught to restrict instead of invest, to overgive instead of receive, and to measure worth by sacrifice rather than sovereignty. This tension shapes careers, relationships, and whether or not we have the ability to walk away from what harms us.

If this episode resonates, follow the show, share with a friend who’s rethinking money, and leave a quick review to help others find these conversations.

  • Is Patriarchy's Real Target...MEN?
    Jan 24 2026

Send us a text. We'd love to hear from you!

Welcome to episode 2, season 5 of the woman Uncaged Podcast! In this week's episode, Laura and Linda explore the patriarchal system from a new angle, wondering aloud what might reveal itself if we look at men as the main objects of subjugation rather than women.

Inspired by a recent podcast episode of The Tea with Jameela Jamil, we investigate this idea to see if it holds water. We talk about how young men are those most often sent off to die in wars or that frequently hold the most dangerous jobs, and how this has been branded and sold to them as a medal of manhood to be sought after. But who really profits from this system? And if men are indeed the main targets of patriarchy, how might this shift or expand our approach to dismantling this harmful system?

We highly recommend pairing this week's episode with Myriam Francois' interview with Jameela Jamil on The Tea: https://open.spotify.com/episode/3te00qCIZAE6vCrWIKsCO5?si=iNgRU0gBToG1q7IkqYJZOw

  • Backlash and Bravery: The Attack on Feminism
    Jan 20 2026

Send us a text. We'd love to hear from you!

Welcome to the 5th season of Woman Uncaged! In episode one, we dive into the erasure of older women and why that loss matters for everyone. When women who know their minds disappear from view, men lose models for growth, relationships flatten, and a market built on insecurity thrives. We challenge the claim that women are naturally more conformist and look at how submission is enforced by systems (military, corporate, and cultural) that prize obedience. We also take a hard look at beauty standards and the cult of youth, asking the hard question: who are we doing this for? The answers expose how profit, patriarchy, and fear make us smaller. We share our thoughts on the antidotes that make us free.

  • Staying Radically Human in this AI/Automated World
    Dec 23 2025

Send us a text. We'd love to hear from you!

Welcome to the 75th episode of Woman Uncaged, which is also our season four finale.

In this episode we’re naming something a lot of us can feel in our bones: the world is speeding up, getting more convenient, more automated and somehow less human. We're interrogating culture, power, convenience, efficiency, and what gets lost when humans outsource too much of our humanness.

What does it mean to stay radically human when the culture keeps training us to live like machines?

We talk about what AI can mimic and why that mimicry can be seductive (and a little creepy). We dig into what machines can’t actually do and we explore why shared experiences matter more than ever (movies in a crowded theater, concerts, dinner without phones, third spaces that aren’t work or home), and why meaning almost never comes from efficiency; even when efficiency is satisfying. If you’ve been noticing your nervous system getting jangly, your attention getting fragmented, or your life getting smaller and more screen-shaped, this episode is an invitation to exhale and to choose differently, because the hunger underneath all of this is simple and profound: we want to be seen, heard, and met by other real, imperfect, alive humans.
