A while back, a client reached out to me at the very early stages of our working relationship and said, “According to Google, you are a scientist and researcher, how did you pivot into this work?”

And when I shared my journey with her, she said I should share it with my listeners because people seem to be afraid to step into the unknown.

People seem to be afraid to step into what is calling them from the within, from their soul and they tend to stick with what is acceptable in society.

In this episode, I want to first take you on a personal journey—one that began in places I never expected and led me to work I never imagined I’d be doing.

Life has a way of rerouting us… sometimes through loss, heartbreak, or moments we thought we’d never recover from.

And if you’ve ever wondered why healing after emotional abuse can feel like such an uphill climb even with therapy, you’re not alone.

Because here’s the truth: therapy alone isn’t enough to fully reclaim yourself after emotional abuse.

It can help you survive—but survival is not the finish line. In the second part of episode, I’ll reveal the missing link that turns recovery into something far greater.

It’s the difference between patching up the pieces and thriving—not because of what broke you, but despite it.

This is where the real transformation begins.

There comes a moment when you stop trying to figure out what they did —and start asking: “What do I believe now?”

In this episode, we’re not focused on the abuser. We’re focused on you — and how to reclaim the reality that was taken, twisted, or silenced.

We’ll talk about what gets in the way — like rationalization, the stories we tell to survive...and intellectualization, where we stay in our heads to avoid feeling what hurts.

And then, we’ll begin to explore the deeper shift—the kind of shift that doesn’t just change how you think…but how you feel in your body, how you see the moment, and how you finally start to trust yourself again.

This episode is a map home. Not to the past — but to your own clarity.

    Let’s begin.

The first puzzle piece in healing from gaslighting and cognitive dissonance is understanding the core template of a narcissist, which is who they truly are beneath the charm, the chaos, and the illusion.

Not the version they sold you. Not the mask. But the actual inner blueprint—the narcissistic template that runs on repeat.

And when you see it clearly, stripped of all the theater and emotional debris… something shifts.

    • You STOP taking their cruelty personally.
    • You STOP trying to make sense of NONSENSE.
    • You STOP dancing with delusion.

Up to this point you have taken what the narcissist did as PERSONAL. By the end of this conversation, you will realize how IMPERSONAL their actions are.

Because what you’ve been internalizing all these years?

    Was never about YOU.

It was always their broken algorithm.

    Their distorted lens.

By the end of this episode, my hope is that you’ll feel something priceless: RELIEF, CLARITY, AND FREEDOM.

You stop focusing on the narcissist, and you focus on you so that the real work of individuation and coming home to yourself can begin.

Have you ever questioned your memories…

Felt like something was wrong — but couldn’t explain why?

Have you ever heard the words
    “You’re too sensitive.”
    “That never happened.”
    “You always twist things.”
...and slowly began to doubt your own reality?

You’re not alone. And you’re not crazy.

You may have grown up with a narcissistic parent — specifically, a father who distorted your world so that his version of truth always came first.

In this episode, we’re talking about reality distortion, gaslighting, and the deep, confusing ache of cognitive dissonance that so many daughters carry into adulthood.

This is about reclaiming your truth.

It’s about giving language to the confusion
and finally saying, “What I felt was real. What I saw was real. What I needed… mattered.”

Today, we continue with our ongoing series into the The Active & Passive Harm from a Narcissistic Father and go into the unseen underbelly of coercion, intimidation, and blame shifting from a father; its impact on the psyche; and the path to integration.

Why is this important? Because verbal abuse (which includes things like intimidation, coercion, berating and belittling, name-calling, and blame-shifting) shapes your inner world.

It leaves behind an internal residue—a kind of emotional static—that distorts how you hear yourself.

    • You begin to doubt your value.
    • You question your perceptions.
    • You minimize your needs.
    • You anticipate being misunderstood or rejected, even before you speak.
    • Over time, you internalize that abuse.

You start talking to yourself the way they talked to you.

Not because it’s true—but because repetition became belief.

    And belief became identity.

And your identity became your reality.

In this episode, I also bring us back to the earlier intention behind the entire series, starting from episode 9, to clearly recognize the invisible scars of growing up with a narcissistic father so that real healing can begin.

Remember, you can’t heal what you don’t acknowledge. You can’t acknowledge what you don’t recognize or understand.

    Recognize, understand, acknowledge, then heal.

Today we are deep diving on what daughters of narcissistic fathers need to know—Part 3. Why is this important? Because after a narcissistic relationship, it’s crucial to find the source of where it all started. And in most cases, it starts at home.

There are special toxic effects that are a result of being born in a narcissistic family.

In episode 9 we talked about the pain of witnessing or experiencing physical violence.

In episode 10, we talked about the lasting impact of the lack of emotional safety and the intentional infliction of emotional harm.

In today’s episode we go further into the damaging effects of hearing chronic criticism on a developing nervous system.

We also delve deeper into the psychological effects of emotional reversal and loyalty conditioning by a narcissistic father.

And here is the truth, if in your family of origin and with your father:

    • You were trained to protect his image, even when he hurt you—you will do the same with a narcissistic partner.
    • Speaking about him honestly was labeled as disrespect, betrayal, or exaggeration—you will do the same with a narcissistic partner.
    • You internalized the belief that your silence was a virtue—you will do the same with a narcissistic partner.

Today, we’re continuing our deep dive into what daughters of narcissistic fathers need to know — and this is Part 2 of the series.

Why does this matter so much?

Because if you’ve found yourself in a narcissistic relationship later in life... it didn’t just start there. It started somewhere much earlier. Somewhere closer to home. And in many cases, it started with him—your father.

And that means… it didn’t start with you.

You are not the source of your wounding. You didn’t break yourself. This didn’t come out of nowhere.

By gently tracing back to the beginning—by examining what happened and also what didn’t happen, you begin to reconnect with what’s true. You begin to see your story clearly. And from that place of clarity, you begin to heal.

A father is the first man a daughter ever loves. It’s the sacred divine love for her father…the kind that sees him as larger than life. To her, he is strength. He is safety. He is a protector, provider, a hero.

In the eyes of a little girl, her father is God-like. And that love becomes the blueprint.

It sets the tone for how she will expect to be treated by men in the future—what she will accept, what she will long for, and what she will believe she deserves.

Every word, every touch, every absence…it all paints the canvas. And every man who comes after him will be held against that first imprint.

If her father starts to beat her, she will assume that being beaten is okay and is in fact a sign of love.

And if the love is distant and emotionally unavailable, she will try anything to get his attention.

Looking for love and attention doesn’t stop, but it may change the child from an authentic self to a performance for love.

If you had a father who had narcissistic characteristics, there is so much you need to know. Let’s get into it.
