    This week's show begins with the arrest of a Ukrainian suspected in in the bombing of the Nord Stream pipeline, discussion of expanded Israeli settlements and Gaza City, massive Israeli protests against the war on Gaza, voters choose a far-right president in Bolivia.

Israel has commenced a final assault on Gaza City- a discussion with Egyptian journalist Karim el-Gawhary- they also describe the announcement of an expansion of Israeli settlements in the West Bank, which many see as the end of any two state solution to the area. From FRANCE- I lost the first part of a report by Israeli reporter Noga Tamopolsky about massive protests in across Israel against Netanyahu and the continuing war on Palestine. Netanyahu accused French President Macron and Australian PM Albanese of being anti-Semites by saying they will join the countries who support Palestinian statehood. From JAPAN- Japanese exports to the US fell for the 4th straight month. The Taliban interim government in Afghanistan says it wants to end its international isolation- Russia has recognized their rule and the Taliban hope to extend economic cooperation with more countries including Japan. From CUBA- El Salvador will extend pretrial detention for 80,000 gang suspects for 2 more years without trials. In a recent Presidential election in Bolivia, 2 right-wing candidates garnered the most votes and will have a runoff election soon. Political leaders in Ireland, Scotland, and Wales have urged British PM Starmer to impose sanctions on Israel over the war in Gaza. Another Palestinian journalist has been murdered in Israel and the Columbia Journalism Review has requested suggestions for safeguarding Palestinian journalists.     This week's show begins with excerpts from an interview with Dennis Kucinich about ridding the planet of nuclear weapons and focusing on international diplomacy, global protests on the war on Gaza, a law Professor William Schabas on Israeli targeted assassinations of al-Jazeera journalists, and Japan is experienced record breaking rainfall and heat this summer.

The excerpts we will hear begin with a discussion of ridding the planet of nuclear weapons, the relationship between Trump and Putin, and the merchants who promote wars. Dennis talks about the danger of military leaders talking war escalation, and that we need to develop more diplomacy to build trust between nations- weapons do not solve global misunderstanding. He points out that Israeli settlers are thieves not settlers. From CUBA- A brief update on global protests against the war on Gaza, followed by the Israeli military assassination of Al-Jazeera journalists in Gaza. From FRANCE- An interview with Professor William Schabas from Middlesex Univ in London about the targeted killing of journalists in Gaza. William teaches International Law and says there is no legal justification for this weeks assassinations. He points out that Israel regularly kills journalists and then lies about it, and that only the US could have influence over the war and refuses to take any action. Europe is heating up twice as fast as the rest of the planet from human induced global warming- this has led to wildfires and a new temperature record in Turkey of 123 degrees Fahrenheit. From JAPAN- Japan has been experiencing record breaking rainfall and high temperatures this summer. An update on the Trump tariff on Japanese autos. More countries are announcing plans to recognize Palestinian statehood. The foreign ministers of 26 nations urged Israel to release unrestricted aid into the Gaza Strip at once. Wednesday was the 80th anniversary of the US dropping an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, killing 140,000 people within a year. US Space Agency NASA will fast track efforts to build a nuclear power plant on the moon- China and Russia have a joint plan to build one there later. South Korea and the US are postponing military drills allegedly because of high temperatures. Israeli media say that Netanyahu plans to completely occupy the Gaza Strip because of Hamas. From FRANCE- Arwa Damon, founder of International Network of Aid, Relief, and Assistance, is interviewed following Netanyahu announcing commercial aid might be allowed to enter Gaza- she describes the scale of the starvation and the flow of aid actually needed. She says only the US has the capacity to influence Netanyahu. The UN Environmental Program is hosting a summit attempting to create a treaty to combat plastic pollution. An interview with Professor Bethanie Carney Almroth on the severity of the problem with plastic pollution and the human health risks that are manifesting now. From CUBA- Brazilian President Lula da Silva has criticized former president Bolsonaro as a traitor for defending the 50% tariff announced by Trump. He also restated the need for an alternative currency to the dollar for international trade, one of the main proposals at a recent BRICS summit.
