George Grassly was running 30K a week and working long days as an accountant in London when he decided to enter the London Marathon. A year and a half later, he crossed the finish line in 2:12:54, winning the mass race and finishing 10th Brit overall.

In this episode, George talks about going from a casual runner to a 200K-a-week athlete while keeping his full-time job, what changed between his 2:21 debut and his 2:12 breakthrough, and why training with faster people was the single biggest unlock. He also takes us inside race day at London, and having to negotiate his way to getting a finisher's medal.

Whether you're chasing a PR or just trying to fit running around a busy life, George's story is proof that your goals might be more realistic than you think.
