  • 007 | 2020: Nothing Was the Same
    Dec 31 2020

Well, 2020 catapulted itself to the top of the Strangest Years Ever list. The twist and turns that came from a world pandemic, stay at home orders, Tiger King and killer bees were of no shortage and really tested the sh#! out of us.

But 2020 also brought silver linings. The forceful slow down of our day-to-day lives allowed us to turn inwards and work on ourselves, our relationships and take a hard look at where we are and what we want out of life.

For us, 2020 also brought out the inner hustle. We finally took the leap and launched The Love Below podcast, a space where we hope to continue navigating through aspects of our lives that are worth having conversations about. A space where we laugh, we cry and we GROW together.

For us, 2021 looks like more of us feeling confident in this exact season. No need to wait UNTIL something happens to feel good about ourselves. We encourage you to love yourself RIGHT NOW. You can’t control everything around you and honestly, you tarnish the potential greatness of the outcome that way. Focus on the things you CAN control and let the rest F L O W.

We want to THANK YOU for tuning in and spending time with us every week. There’s so much more where that came from — you already know this upcoming year is going to be filled with gems + special guests.

What more can I say now? You might feel like nothing was the same—

Cuffing season in the middle of a pandemic?! Baby, the ghettttoooo.

Are you guys participating in a little winter fling this year or are you sitting this one all the way out because, well, germs?!

Why do we crave intimacy during this time of the year? Some say we are physiologically wired to want a boo thang while others claim it's so that we can avoid the nagging tias asking you about "el novio/ novia." Either way, it hits HARD and this week we're getting juicy with some theories as to why it happens and how we can come out on top. We've got some tips on how to tell if this person is right or Mr./Miss Right Now.

And you already know the playlist this week is music to get ya feeling all lovey <3.

  • 004 | consumer-ish
    Dec 4 2020

We don't know about you, but our wallets are screaming after the Black Friday sales that just passed. Please tell us we're not alone LOL. What is it about these "sales" and their marketing tactics that engrains feelings of FOMO into our hearts?

The consumer culture has evolved a shit-ton recently, especially with the growth of e-commerce, which has become a 3.55 TRILLION, yes, TRILLION dollar industry worldwide. We see it as we're scrolling through IG (give us the 'likes' tab back on the bottom right pls), or when you mention a new pair of Nikes and are bombarded with ads for the Air Max 270's for the next week — marketing is everywhere.

This week, we dig a little deeper on how consumer behavior has impacted us, the psychology of consumerism and how it drives the way retailers sell to us, and finally- how we can be more conscious shoppers so that our wallets and mama earth won't be so upset all the time.

    Nov 12 2020

This isn't your regular verzuz battle.

Until recently, the relationship between your physical gut and your emotional/ mental well-being has been overlooked, but now that's been proven as critical - we're here to give both of them some love and figure out to to bring about some inner harmony.

Emotional: Is "following your gut" a bunch of hooplah or is there an innate knowing that we all posses that guides us to our truth? It's said the most successful people in the world make their decisions based on their gut. How do you get in tune with that?

Physical: We've all experienced that lethargic, intense sense of bloat after a meal. Could knowing our sensitivities be the key to preventing chronic illness? We discuss the gut- body connection and ways to take inventory on what signs to look out for and how to improve your gut health.

  • 001 | Dia de los muertos
    Nov 6 2020

In this episode we honor Día de los muertos , a holiday widely celebrated by the Mexican community (otherwise know as All Saints day elsewhere) beginning on the morning of Nov. 1 and ending on Nov. 2. Friends and family gather to whip up meals and honor those that have passed before them by celebrating their time on this earth.

Have you honored the transition of any part of your life? Previous relationships, maybe?

In our very first episode, we jump into our transitions and celebrate our rebirth- turning the page to this new chapter of our lives.

This episode is dedicated to Bryant Fisher. A soul that left this plane far too soon but will forever live in our hearts. May you find eternal peace.
