• Lazy Chats: The Battle for Gender-Affirming Care
    Nov 16 2025

It’s Transgender Awareness Week! So, it feels like a good time to talk about this topic (actually, it’s always a good time to talk about this).

In this episode, Lazy Aleli chats with Elena and Thysz, two transwomen who are living in Paris and Metro Manila. They talk about important moments in their transition journey, the state of gender-affirming care in their respective countries, and how they find power in language, literature, and sports while fighting for their right to body autonomy.

  • Lazy Chats: Female Friendships as We've Seen It on TV
    Aug 7 2025

One Sunday afternoon, three Lazies met up online to discuss the topic of female friendships.

As they talked over coffee and fizzy drinks, Lazies Aleli, Frosso, and Teodora found that they grew up watching a lot of the same things, specifically Lena Dunham's "Girls" and the iconic "Sex and the City."

In this episode, our Lazies look back on these two female-focused shows (and then perhaps reference a few other titles) and how they portrayed female friendships. Join them as they reflect on how these portrayals ultimately influenced how they thought of and related to other women IRL.

But don't fret, we got you! Lazies Aleli and Selin (who works as a financial journalist, so she knows a thing or two about the topic) talk to Tinka Herrera-Dan, a Filipino financial advisor with a decade of experience, to figure out how best to discuss and plan finances with your significant other.

So, get comfortable and listen in. Maybe listen with your partner even, and get the money talk going.

  • 'Making it' in Western Europe: name, class, and dance with Lucie
    Apr 21 2024

In the eighth - and last - episode of ‘Making it’ in Western Europe, we come full circle. Mirroring our first conversation in the series, Zsofi and I switch roles to discuss my (at points bumpy) journey from the Czech Republic to Brussels, with stopovers in Norway, Hungary, Italy and partly also the UK.

I open up about my background, difficulties with my name, the role that education played in my social mobility, and my never-ending love for dancing. I also speak about my experience of living with an international partner and how Brussels finally allowed me to combine all of my disparate identities and live experiences. There is still a way to go in my journey of belonging but at least for the time being, I feel that I am in the right place :)

Would you like to use this final chance to hang out with us and discuss the episode? Then join us for our upcoming 'Making it' Pod Talk! Our Pod Talks are open and intimate community reflections where we share our own experiences, ask questions and collectively reflect on what the themes of identity and belonging actually mean to us. We will be sharing the exact date soon, so make sure to follow us on socials not to miss the sign up link!

  • Expert reflection: health, inclusivity and stigma with Ninti
    Apr 14 2024

In this special bonus episode of ‘Making it’ in Western Europe, Zsofi is joined by Fatoumata Ly & Olga Kokshagina, the co-founders of Ninti.

Ninti's mission is to break stigma about women's reproductive health and to bring these discussions into the workplace. Originally from Guinea and Russia, Fatoumata and Olga's work is deeply influenced by their migration background and the challenges they had to navigate on the way during their travels around the world.

We were truly excited for the chance to talk to Ninti because we believe that their expertise sheds an interesting new light on the topic of migration and the specific challenges that women face during it. We also appreciated their dedication to breaking taboos around women's health and calls for a deeper inclusivity and accessibility of the topic.
