About this listen

What does it really mean to be “lazy”? Often, women are dismissed as lazy for rejecting outdated roles or resting instead of conforming. Despite progress, the weight of these labels persists. On The Lazy Women Podcast, we challenge stereotypes and reclaim “lazy” through raw, thoughtful conversations on feminism, pop culture, belonging, and more. By sharing stories of underrepresented women in the global feminist discourse, we spotlight the lived experiences, challenges, and triumphs shaping modern womanhood. • Lazy Chats: The Battle for Gender-Affirming Care
    Nov 16 2025

It’s Transgender Awareness Week! So, it feels like a good time to talk about this topic (actually, it’s always a good time to talk about this).

In this episode, Lazy Aleli chats with Elena and Thysz, two transwomen who are living in Paris and Metro Manila. They talk about important moments in their transition journey, the state of gender-affirming care in their respective countries, and how they find power in language, literature, and sports while fighting for their right to body autonomy.

  • Lazy Chats: Female Friendships as We've Seen It on TV
    Aug 7 2025

One Sunday afternoon, three Lazies met up online to discuss the topic of female friendships.

As they talked over coffee and fizzy drinks, Lazies Aleli, Frosso, and Teodora found that they grew up watching a lot of the same things, specifically Lena Dunham's "Girls" and the iconic "Sex and the City."

In this episode, our Lazies look back on these two female-focused shows (and then perhaps reference a few other titles) and how they portrayed female friendships. Join them as they reflect on how these portrayals ultimately influenced how they thought of and related to other women IRL.
