    Transcription:

    Bonjour,

    Hello,

My name is Laurie and I'm a French teacher for foreigners. I'm from Auvergne, a region in central France, and I live in Clermont-Ferrand, the capital. Here, there are lots of mountains, lakes, and forests. Lots of nature, you know! The mountains are actually volcanoes, but don't worry, they're dormant! I live in an apartment on the outskirts of Clermont-Ferrand, next to a park.

In my daily life, I like to play sports: I play basketball and I also go hiking. I also enjoy watching TV series, going for walks, reading, and seeing my family and friends. I'm also addicted to chocolate, so I don't buy any or I'll eat it all in one day!

What I also love is traveling. I adore discovering new cultures, new landscapes, new people, and new ways of life. I have a list of many destinations I'd like to visit. I've already been to Ireland, Montreal in Canada, New York, Hungary, Austria, Switzerland, the Canary Islands, Iceland, and Crete. My next destination is either Italy or Canada, but on the west coast, in Vancouver. A friend lives there, so it's a great opportunity for me! Now I just need to find the time and organise these trips.

As I mentioned, I currently live in Clermont-Ferrand, but before that, I lived abroad for eight years. I lived mainly in England and Spain. In England, I really enjoy caramel digestifs, beer, the scenery, and musicals in London. And in Spain, I enjoy tapas, the beach, the sun, and the relaxed atmosphere. I go back regularly to visit friends and enjoy the different cultures.
