Welcome to THE LINK: Bridging Faith and Life with Dr. Vincent Bacote! Every month, Dr. Bacote will introduce listeners to ways they can build connections between faith and life in their ministries and personal lives. This month, Dr. Bacote discusses how we can be committed to God without feeling pressure to commit to advocating for the latest cause, suggesting at least one way forward. There are many great causes and many Christians who are great advocates for these great matters of concern. Dr. Bacote used to feel great pressure when he would hear persuasive voices, especially because of the proper desire to follow God's will. 2 Corinthians 5:15 and Micah 6:8 have been very important verses to consider.

Welcome to THE LINK: Bridging Faith and Life with Dr. Vincent Bacote! Every month, Dr. Bacote will introduce listeners to ways they can build connections between faith and life in their ministries and personal lives. This month, Dr. Bacote talks about how we always have to think about the truth of various ways we see resistance to change in the world. Until Jesus returns, no matter how much improvement we see, we will also experience a world where it may seem like things are going nowhere or going backwards. Dr. Bacote suggests we recall the encouragement from Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:58: "Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." We keep giving ourselves to God's work, even though resistance and twists and turns are with us until Jesus set all things right.

  • Examining Our Lens
    Sep 16 2025

Welcome to THE LINK: Bridging Faith and Life with Dr. Vincent Bacote! Every month, Dr. Bacote will introduce listeners to ways they can build connections between faith and life in their ministries and personal lives. This month, Dr. Bacote talks about how the recent death Charlie Kirk (and similar tragedies) presents us with an opportunity to look at how and why we respond to these events. How do we respond and what narratives do we tell about those “on our team” and those who are not? How do we tell the whole truth as best we can? Romans 12:2 invites us to have transformed minds; this includes how we see and respond to people and events.

How well do you understand the lens you have on the world and the reasons for your responses to events?
