In this episode, I’m answering the two questions my Mom circle always ask about my Muslim daughter. I will be sharing the honest, and true thought process that I have as a convert mom. These questions open the door to deeper conversations about identity, parenting style and the way I’m choosing to raise her with both confidence and compassion. As someone who came to Islam later in life, my approach to parenting is shaped by intention, curiosity, and the desire to give her what some don't or didn’t have: a grounding in faith that feels safe, empowering, and authentic, especially as i recognize that social media is now playing a big role in our kids lives.

As a Latina Muslim mama, I’ve learned that motherhood is both a blessing and relentlessly real. Between the diapers, the du’as, and the deep cultural expectations, I had to get clear on what keeps me grounded. In this episode, I’m sharing the 5 Non-Negotiables —things that protect my peace, honor my faith, help me show up as the fierce, intentional mom I’m meant to be, and raise my baby while staying grounded. This is about more than routines because when you tap into that mama bear energy, you stop apologizing for doing what’s best for your child and yourself. Like that one time someone questioned why I have a birth plan and made suggestions to my birth plan—respectfully I declined their input and my maternal instinct said keep distance from this person, and I stood firm on that. That’s the mama bear energy I’m talking about.
