• The Feasts--Tabernacle (Sukkot)
    Jul 9 2025

In this final episode of our Feasts of the Lord series, we come to Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles—a celebration of joy, harvest, and divine presence. More than just an agricultural festival, Sukkot is a powerful reminder of God's desire to dwell with His people—not just then, but now and forever.

We'll begin by exploring the historical roots of the feast in the wilderness, where Israel lived in booths (temporary shelters) after being delivered from Egypt. God commanded the Israelites to celebrate this feast by constructing and living in these booths for seven days, symbolizing dependence on His provision and presence (Leviticus 23:42–43).

Then we’ll fast-forward to the New Testament, where Jesus celebrated this feast in John 7. On the last day, the "great day" of the festival, He cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink” (John 7:37–38). He was pointing to the living water of the Holy Spirit, poured out on all who believe.

We’ll unpack how the Feast of Tabernacles was prophetically fulfilled in the first coming of Christ—“And the Word became flesh and dwelt [literally, tabernacled] among us” (John 1:14). And we’ll look ahead to the ultimate fulfillment in Revelation 21, where God declares, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man.”

    You’ll hear practical insights on:

    • Why joy is central to the Feast of Tabernacles
    • How this feast reminds us to live as pilgrims, not settlers, in this world
    • What it means to carry God's presence into your everyday life
    • How to prepare for eternity with God forever dwelling with His people

  • The Feasts--Yom Kippur
    Jul 8 2025

In this episode, we explore Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement—the holiest day on the biblical calendar. Instituted by God in Leviticus 16 and 23, Yom Kippur was the one day each year when the High Priest could enter the Holy of Holies and make atonement for the sins of the nation. But what does this ancient, solemn ritual mean for us today?

We begin by unpacking the historical background of Yom Kippur, diving into the powerful imagery of sacrifice, the scapegoat, and the mercy seat. We then examine how this feast prophetically pointed to Jesus Christ, our Great High Priest, who entered the heavenly Holy of Holies once for all to secure eternal redemption (Hebrews 9–10).

As we reflect on the seriousness of sin and the depth of God’s mercy, we discuss how modern believers can respond to God's grace through repentance, worship, and a life of surrendered devotion.

    🔑 Key Themes:

    • The role of the High Priest and the sacred duties of Yom Kippur
    • The symbolism of the two goats: one sacrificed, one released
    • Jesus as the ultimate fulfillment of the Day of Atonement
    • The necessity of repentance, both then and now
    • How we can live out holiness and grace in a New Covenant context

    📖 Scriptures Highlighted:

    • Leviticus 16 & 23
    • Hebrews 9:11–14, 10:1–22
    • Isaiah 53:4–6
    • Romans 3:25
    • 1 John 1:9

    🙏 Devotional Moment:

At the end of the episode, we take a quiet moment to reflect on the weight of sin, the beauty of forgiveness, and the invitation to draw near to God through the blood of Christ. You’ll be guided in a simple but powerful prayer of repentance, thanksgiving, and renewed surrender.

    📣 Call to Action:

As we prepare our hearts in light of the message of Yom Kippur, we challenge you to take time this week to:

    • Confess any hidden sin before the Lord
    • Reflect on the sufficiency of Christ's sacrifice
    • Ask God to renew your love for holiness and humility

  • The Feasts--Weeks (Pentecost)
    Jul 1 2025

Pentecost, also known as the Feast of Weeks or Shavuot, was originally a time to bring the first fruits of the wheat harvest before the Lord. In today’s episode, we trace the biblical roots of Pentecost from Leviticus to Jerusalem, and unpack what it means to live as a people filled with the Spirit. We’ll explore why the law was given at Sinai on Pentecost—and why the Spirit was given on the same day in Acts. We also discuss how Pentecost invites us to step out in boldness, mission, and unity. • The Feasts--Unleavened Bread
    Jun 24 2025

In this episode of Restoration, we explored the Feast of Unleavened Bread—a powerful picture of what it means to live a new, set-apart life after being redeemed.

Coming immediately after Passover, this seven-day feast commemorated the Israelites' urgent escape from Egypt. Because they left in haste, there was no time for bread to rise. God commanded His people to eat only unleavened bread and to remove every trace of leaven from their homes. But the deeper meaning goes beyond bread.

Leaven (or yeast) in Scripture often symbolizes sin—small, hidden, but capable of affecting the whole. God wasn’t just delivering Israel from Egypt; He was beginning the process of getting Egypt out of them. And that’s what this feast is all about: sanctification, cleansing, and new beginnings.

We looked at how this feast finds its spiritual fulfillment in Jesus. Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 5:7, “Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. Therefore let us keep the Festival… with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.” Jesus is the sinless Bread of Life—pierced, broken, and buried during the very days of this feast. As leaven was removed from every Jewish home, the sinless Son of God was resting in the tomb. What a prophetic picture!

    And then we got personal:
What leaven is God asking you to remove? Pride? Bitterness? Compromise? Secret sin? The Feast of Unleavened Bread isn’t about perfection—it’s about a willing heart, open to being searched and purified. It’s a call to examine ourselves, not in fear, but in faith—knowing that God desires to fill those empty, cleansed places with His presence.

✨ This feast reminds us that restoration is more than rescue—it’s renewal. It's not just about being saved, but about being changed.

📌 Be sure to join us next week as we look at the Feast of Firstfruits—a celebration of resurrection and hope!

Until then, remember: Restoration is where new life begins.
