  • In this episode we discuss the importance of making a plan in the event of an emergency. Think about the types of emergencies that your family may be faced with in your home and your neighborhood. This could be an earthquake, fire, loss of utilities, or some other type of event. Your family then makes a plan on what they will do in the event of each emergency.There are essentially two options, stay where you are or evacuate. Should you choose to evacuate, you go to your meeting spot. You should always have an alternative meeting spot in case the first spot you picked is not safe.

    It's also important to get a list of emergency contact information of family and friends.
