This week during week 3 of Missions Collective, Pastor Joshua continued our journey through the pillars of The Missions Collective with a powerful message on Understanding. In his sermon, “This Is How Our Story Breaks Barriers,” we looked at Acts 10:34-48 and discovered how God uses our story, paired with His Spirit, to break down walls and build bridges. We kicked off Missions Collective with the first pillar: prayer. Pastor Joshua reminded us that before the mission moves forward, our hearts must kneel downward. Looking at Acts 13:1-3 (NLT), we learned that prayer is not just preparation—it’s the power that fuels the mission. This message challenges us to see prayer as the starting point, the fuel, and the green light for all God wants to do through us. When we align our hearts, listen for God’s voice, and pray over the mission, we open the door for God to move.

This Sunday we wrapped up our Faith Hall of Fame series with the life of Samuel. Pastor Joshua showed us that faith listens—even in unlikely places. When we listen with a willing heart, it not only shapes our faith today but also paves the way for others to hear Him tomorrow.

This Sunday, Pastor Nick shared a message from 1 Samuel 23:1–14 on the life of David and the kind of faith that inquires. Before David made decisions, he sought the Lord—not once, but continually. In a season filled with pressure, uncertainty, and pursuit from his enemies, David modeled what it means to stop and ask God for direction instead of rushing ahead.

This message challenges us to build a faith that doesn’t just react, but inquires of God—trusting His wisdom over our own and leaning on His presence in every step.
