    79 | Reviewing 2025 to Make 2026 Great! Part 3

    Hello Jesus People Sisters!

As single women over 50, we don’t get many invitations to pause, reflect, and realign before the next year rushes in.

In this episode of Jesus People Sisterhood, we’re riffing on a powerful conversation from the Diary of a CEO episode featuring Chris Williamson, where he asks one sobering question: If you don’t fix certain things now, is next year already lost?

We take that idea and bring it home—into real life, real faith, and real seasons of singleness after 50.

This isn’t about hustle, grinding, or making 2026 “bigger and better.” It’s about gently looking back at 2025 and asking:

    • What drained me?
    • What did I tolerate that quietly shaped my life?
    • Where was God nudging me… and did I listen?
    • What do I want to carry forward, and what do I need to finally lay down?

We talk honestly about regret, hope, faith fatigue, and the freedom that comes from reflection without shame. If you’ve felt like time is moving fast—or that you’re being invited into a new chapter but aren’t sure how to step into it—this conversation is for you.

As 2026 begins, let’s make sure we’re entering it awake, grounded, and walking with God—on purpose.

    May this episode bless you!

75 | An Interview with Valerie Bryant - A Jesus Sister Excelling in the Last Third Part 2

    Hello Jesus People Sisters!

There are millions of single, Christian women over fifty around the globe. The heart of Jesus People Sisterhood is to encourage our sisters to finish well. Like our Listener Spotlight episodes, every so often we will be doing episodes that highlight single, Christian women over fifty who are excelling in ministry or other fields in their last third of life. In this Part 2 episode of the series, we continue our interview with Valerie Bryant.

    May this episode bless you!

    Ellie and Janine

    Mentions:

Valerie began her professional career as an Air Force Officer, serving through the rank of Captain in technical communications. After military service, she stepped into the role of military spouse, mother of 9, and founder of “the Close-Knit Family: Nurturing Strategies for the Family.” Her 33-year marriage was eventually devastated and shattered, ending due to spousal abandonment and unfaithfulness.

Forced to restart life, Valerie spent the next many years as a single parent to her remaining four children (all teens) and restarted life professionally to shelf-support. Having been a stay-at-home mother for years, it helped that she had entrepreneurial experience in various industries, to include family focus, education/training and personal empowerment. She went from driving Uber, working as a government contractor and then onto more sustaining employment at a Fortune 400 company.

Her original speaker platform transformed from supporting marrieds to sustaining and restoring women negatively impacted by marital trauma. Her message foundation is based on a resilient and mettle-tested, raw faith in the face of societal challenge. That is where TUFF Mama Time was birthed and continues today on social media and with live workshops.

When not relishing time with her “babies” and their little ones, Valerie can be found reading or penning more books, continuing fun athletic pursuits, while coaching and engineering programs for women (Mamas) in similar crisis situations.
