    In this episode, I sit down with Dr. Miria Agunyo, an accomplished environmental engineer with expertise in bioenergy, renewable energy, and environmental management systems. She is the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Environment at Uganda Christian University and also serves as a project manager with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development. She holds a PhD in Economic Sciences and a Master’s in Renewable Energy and Environmental Management from Europa Universität Flensburg in Germany. Her work spans several countries, including Uganda, Germany, Scotland, and Denmark, and she’s led impactful projects in biogas technology, waste management, and sustainable development. In our conversation, she shares how she stumbled into a PhD, the motivations that have shaped her path, the role of mentoring and valuable advice for young engineers seeking purpose and direction in their careers.
